Liafen Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Yeah, the two years didn't help. Preauxmeaux was on point though 1

mike_int Posted June 18 Posted June 18 (edited) Dua sold out her summer EU dates within minutes with over 100k people in queue and sold out her Asia RO Tour dates in pre-sales and adding new dates. You need to stop with this fake narrative she is flopping only cause of chart positions, which are eventually not important at all. Talk about House Of Dragons, I didnt even know new season is already out until I saw someone posting about it on IG the other day Edited June 18 by mike_int 5

dirrtydiana Posted June 18 Posted June 18 The casting. They did a magnificent job on the original show but this time around they didn't hook the GP with incredibly good looking people. And the show already feels like a value version of the OG (at first glance because I don't remember a lot of season 1)
Romova99 Posted June 18 Posted June 18 2 year wait for a new season?? that doesn't work anymore, I'm not interested in watching it, I don't even remember exactly what happened on S1 and I'll have to watch that again in order to enjoy S2 which is too much.

The only ones that come into mind are Rings of Power (which will flop even harder) and probably Stranger Things which is a bigger household name, and not a spinoff.
Richie.Valdez Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Those numbers are US/Canada only...the Targaryens are global.
RideOrDie Posted June 18 Posted June 18 not rings of panned fans getting brave... i've seen it all 11
peacok Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Bad promo perhaps? I wasn't even aware that the show was premiering last Sunday until I saw a tiktok video 3 hours before the premiere
Relampago. Posted June 18 Posted June 18 If people can't wait 2 years for a show, idk what to tell them. You either get a rushed mess or something decent to great. I know people were disappointed with the B&C scene but I enjoyed the first episode and I've been enjoying how the show moves at a faster pace than GoT did. 2

You can release great shows yearly.
Ponzi Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Episode was great. Anyone not watching is just missing out on a great show. Their loss. 3

Lot of shows had delay in production cause of the writers strike. Emily In Paris, Euphoria, Severance, Bridgerton, Ring Of Power coming to my mind. Found a list here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_productions_impacted_by_the_2023_Writers_Guild_of_America_strike 1
Jay07 Posted June 18 Posted June 18 I do think they waited too long without establishing a fandom and House of the Dragon feels like a cutrate version of Game of Thrones anyway.
West Coast Posted June 18 Posted June 18 The premier was boring and lackluster compared to season 1 tbh

Yeah I realized after I posted that, that I started watching it in summer 2023, not 2022 so it didn't feel as long to me
