• Private Dancer by Tina Turner
• Diamond Life by Sade
• Make It Big by WHAM!
• Reckless by Bryan Adams

This year alone had 4 20+ million album sellers btw

 

2024:

• TTPD by Taylor Swift
• HIT ME HARD AND SOFT by Billie Eilish
• Eternal Sunshine by Ariana Grande
• Radical Optimism by Dua Lipa
• COWBOY CARTER by Beyonce
• We Don't Trust You by Future and Metro Boomin'

and we still have more up n coming. Thoughts?

Notice how 1984 is a diverse mix of genres and artists. While 2024 is 98% women doing variants of pop music.
