Honest question

How can an album be influential when it's one week old?

Like who has been influenced by this album?

brat's marketing is the only notable thing about the record. there are like 3 memorable tracks. ttpd may have more fillers but it also has more bangers!

So this is ~influence~ to ATRL, good to know :rip:

Charli XCX as an artist is undoubtedly influential. The Brat album is too new to have had time to be influential. I also find it interesting that you are pointing to the marketing aspect of Brat as what is influential, when the drag against Taylor is that she is only good at… marketing, and that her music is bad :suburban:

All I know about the tortured poets thingy is the song with Post Malone, which is a shameless Lana knockoff so this guy might be right :deadbanana4:

He's just echoing what his audience wants to hear.

It's interesting how a few years ago when his audience consisted mainly of straight guys who were into hip hop and rock, he used to trash the few pop music he bothered paying attention to. Now all of a sudden, he loves Charli XCX, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish and others.

8 years ago he was praising the otherwise panned Vroom Vroom, this isn't fair lmfao

The vision of… what? What influence has Brat the album (not Charli XCX that artist) had on music with only a week of release?

Imogen is massively influential, with her album Speak For Yourself being the most so out of her body of work. But it was not influential a week after release, that is a preposterous thing to say.
