Okay, that tiktok video is really unfair. Soft strength is something she's always had a habit of incorporating in her songs, from Pearl to Dark Horse, and IKAG. She really enjoys the whole concept of delicate yet strong and resilient. It's a style she's consistently drawn to. I can totally imagine that the robotic delivery of the 'sexy confident, so intelligent' line is connected to her AI robot theme concept, much like in 365. It could be a deliberate artistic choice. I find it crazy that people are auto-panning it based on just 10 seconds of listening.

it was his legal team's assumption that he would produce 3 Katy's albums between 2014-2024 when he sued Kesha over lost opportunities in 2021

The only thing keeping me hopeful about this album and her working with Luke again was the possibility of getting Walking On Air 2.0, but I just looked through the song's credits and saw that he wasn't involved in it????

If he couldn't even stop her from using cringe lyrics (and we already know he couldn't) then officially, there was no sensible reason to work with him again.

I hope that after the mixed reviews of Witness and Smile, she doesn't become the critics' go-to punching bag. Yeah, Dr. Luke is problematic AF, but if the music itself isn't terrible (and I don't think it could be bad with him as the producer, that's kinda why he's even working with her), the visuals are looking way stronger than both Witness and Smile. Plus, I think WW is stronger as a track than Chained and Daisies.

I know there's a couple Stan bases behind the outrage for Katy working with dr luke(trash wbk) and I get it but it's obvious that it's only cuz it's Katy. Do we have a list of all the recent people who have worked with him? And if those people were outraged at them? Cuz Nicki Minaj for super freaky and doja cat with her previous album and all those smashes from planet her. Who else?

From what I understand, she's held to a higher standard than the rap and newer signed artists that are under Dr. Luke. I understand why people expect more from her, but I think it's a tough call asking her to ditch the guy who helped her achieve 7 #1 hits across 3 different albums. That's not an easy decision for anyone to make.
