Girl only DR luke can make a hit for a british girl in US.

That album screams dr luke camp production.

Not the "Dr Luke produced Don't Start Now and Future Nostalgia!!!" fanfics again to cope. :bibliahh:

Nothing about the album's production screams Dr Luke. It's all done by Ian Kirkpatrick, Koz, Stuart Price, Jeff Bhasker, the Monsters & Strangerz, SG Lewis, Andrew Watt. All talented producers that have been serving x1000 more interesting material than his recycling ass. Emily Warren (songwriter) is signed to a publishing company that happens to be owned by him. Please learn the difference. And for the record, Future Nostalgia is better than Katy's entire discography. :heart2:

I love Future Nostalgia but Dua could only dream of having an album like Teenage Dream in her discography sis, in every sense

I love how hard this is getting thrashed :WAP: don't give me this faux female empowerment produced by a rapist and sell it as genuine and good.

Teenage Dream is obviously a pop bible and miles bigger, but we'll have to agree to disagree. To me, FN is a much better record. I don't see why Dua would dream of having that when she's capable of serving excellence like Physical, Don't Start Now, Love Again, Houdini, etc. :michael:

This song is getting hate for everything but the actual song itself. The worst yall can say about it is titties in the music video and it sounds basic

Katy is going to be flamed no matter what she does, she's either a flop or an abuser, i just hope she produces good music and ignores the hate

This gaslighting. Actually everyone hates the actual song because of the hypercringe lyrics and dated bland production that goes nowhere.

It's not dated production and the "hypercringe" lyrics would be praised if it came from your fave

The only thing bad about this song is that the melody of it is inferior to the demos. That much is obvious because there's more critique about the feminism aspect + Dr. Luke lashings/fake appeals for Bonnie McKee to come back despite her new EP sounding like she lost her mind, than the actual sound

this could've been done so much better, she dropped the ball

why didn't she work with ONLY women to make this song? a female producer? women songwriters? Dr. Luke being involved literally killed this single on arrival.

the video should've had more women of different skin tones, body shapes, old women, young women, trans women, lesbian women (why the two men kissing?)

the release seems random too, imagine if this was released for mother's day or international women's day, it would make more sense tbh

it would've been better received by the new gen & pop fans and seen as an actual women anthem instead of being dragged like this. I like the song & the video, but i see why it's bombing and is panned. She should've seen this coming, it's not 2013 anymore.

Sexy, confident
So intelligent
She is heaven-sent
So soft, so strong

These are literally the worst lyrics I have seen in a pop song in recent memory.

I do think it was a bold move to mess with Luke because of people's opinion and unfortunately for her that plays a big role for her after the Trump election and Witness. But honestly Katy is no stranger to criticism, so at least she's making fun and good pop music which everyone asked for but don't seem capable of enjoying.

Also Kesha did Katy dirty on court and literally lied about her and Katy had to testify clarifying it. Luke settled with Kesha on court didn't he? This reminds me of the whole MJ controversy as some people believe he did it and other people don't but  he still is regarded as the king of pop so…

I don't remember the gays making this fuzz when Gaga released a song and made an entire video playing with abuse with a convicted abuser and the song he wrote with her is still up there. This feels like simply witch hunting but the only one suffering is Katy. They saw it coming but still…

This post was written in Oblivia. Every sentence here is false. Gaga formally apologized over five years ago now for the DWUW song and removed it from all platforms. No one needs to punch down at Katy Perry. She hasn't had a hit in a decade, she can't sell out 3,000 person theaters, and she's not known for anything innovative. How is this even fun pop music? Who's asking to dance to this in the club or play this at parties? What a mood killer it would be if in the midst of actual listenable fun pop music this interrupted the flow.

Yeah, it's a bit silly since even the alleged claim is just that Emily Warren asked Luke to "give his input" for Don't Start Now and something about him suggesting to change something with the drums (I'm sure there's a myriad of demos that have been leaked that would allow people to see how drastic or not these so-called changes were over time). "He gave a suggestion to the drum beat that Emily relayed to Ian" is not... convincing, nor paints the idea that he would rightfully be credited regardless of the controversy around him in normal cases due the "contribution" being so small.

The idea that he went uncredited with Work For Home is far more believable due to Ammo having a production contract with him (with Ammo having since sued Luke over said production contract), but the elaborate "DR. LUKE IS SECRETLY A&R'ING EVERY POP ARTIST!! HE NEVER LEFT!!! SETTHE SJW'S!!!" line comes from a user now banned across multiple accounts on here and other forums for not being able to prove any of their claims.

Saying this when these exist:

  • Sometimes, I feel like everybody is a sexy baby
  • That's that me espresso

I have seen so many TikToks dragging Katy and the top comments are all defending her. So maybe it's not really over :jonny6: time to scrap this and move on to an actual good single.
