the good guy_duh Posted July 12 Posted July 12 The song is okay, quite catchy if i'm being honest, like I expected it to be terrible but it ain't the case?? 3
Badgalbriel Posted July 12 Posted July 12 This song has nothing on Teenage Dream. It sounds more like Stupid Love 2
Jackson Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Also it's so obvious why this is the lead single. Obviously Lifetimes and Nirvana will be better and ultimately end up more replayable but they would probably flop too. This song is at least providing some buzz that the better songs won't

JT55331 Posted July 12 Posted July 12 (edited) watch the total u turns in here if this ends up growing and smashing i'm not trying to be cancelled too but the cancel culture in society is nuts to me - the way everyone mobilises to jump on a hate train 🚂 I know y'all are going to come for me for having an opinion that doesn't align with yours but what happened to innocent until proven guilty - what happened to enjoying some fun music for what it is - ok that is enough internet for me today Edited July 12 by JT55331 4

It will barely cross the 2M mark today which is not enough to debut in the WW spotify chart. It's getting worse and worse, at this point I'm like that Camila Cabello stan who hates everything she does what do you mean? you need 1,2M to debut within top 200 globally she would've crossed 3M easily with a better playlisting

Badgalbriel Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Also, the theme of the song. Katy, what's the idea behind releasing an empowerment anthem in f-ing 2024? No one likes those anymore. We're not in 2014.

This debut is pretty good actually if that account is reliable. With better playlisting it would have easily done over 3.5M. 1 1

Quiqui4eva Posted July 12 Posted July 12 (edited) I like the song tbh. Her voice fits quite well and the production slaps. The lyrics (and the entire video) feel outdated, but also very on-brand for her. Good on her for committing to the act at least. Song: 7.5/10 Video: 4/10 Edited July 12 by Quiqui4eva

We rather hear about "f.cking b*tches" "wet p.ssies" etc. than about something so needed, especially in era we live, as self love and empowerment? Im not saying it is executed well in this case, but there is significant rise of depressions, suicides and addictions after Covid that if song like this makes someone feel better, there is nothing more needed Edited July 12 by mike_int 5 3 1
thismoment Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Tbh I get why she thinks that self empowering songs are her brand but enough is enough. I've lost count how many of them she has released. Woman's world is indeed a bit weak but some of these reviews are seriously overdoing it. 3 1
