halcyonday
Katy Perry's sixth single from the album Teenage Dream became one of her biggest classics. The song has 1.2B streams on Spotify (og + acoustic combined) and is one of the favorite songs of the new generation of pop stars to cover. Usually it's the lead, the second or the third single that become classics, but Katy did that with her sixth single. How did she manage to achieve such an impressive feat with this song? Fitzswiftie
When a ballad is done right it ages like a fine wine. Katy got herself a 1962 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti with TOTGA. 2
DoubleRainbow!
The GP prefers relatable / sad songs in the end, that's why everyone I know knows this classic
Doctor Dick
When you have an album filled with smash hit material even your sixth single will become a classic. Just look at MJ and his album Bad.

AxelFox
It truly is a great song. I'm impressed and very pleased to see how well it has stood the taste of time and is still remembered to this day. The video was brilliant as well. It helped for sure. I wish thinking of you would see more of this type of appreciation too. That one is sadly quite underrated.

Acuminatus
It's interesting how everyone seems to perform the acoustic slow version of the song. I guess it fits into the sad girl aesthetic. Also I love the MV, which reached a billion views on Youtube!
