Comparing everyone to Taylor and yet you argue that she has no talent, has no impact, etc.

In Fortnight, she has an asylum aesthetic, despite the fact that being in an asylum is a horror, and she, a privileged billionaire, is here creating an aesthetic out of it.

Hell, Taylor Nation even tweeted this awful tweet right here.

And in a song, she outs Joe's depression, knowing how private he is and how rabid her fanbase is.

I always ask myself this, would you be saying these things if it was a highly successful blockbuster movie? Or are you singling out musical artists and writers?

And you don't believe people can make whatever art they want?

And you don't think she doesn't has friends and a huge amount of fans that have been locked up? As one of the artists with the biggest fanbases in the world? And she is providing representation that is actually tasteful?

What is so tasteful about exploiting a tragic woman's story and pretending you're tortured while simultaneously being a billionaire?

What does that have to do with TTPD?

Taylor wrote a whole song about her.

Both albums are awful.

Obviously TTPD. Charli is a great writer too but Brat isn't meant to have amazing writing.

Can we even call BRAT's lyrics, songwriting? It's just a bunch of noises & gibberish :skull:

Me when I haven't actually listened to the album

definitely not tortured first drafts department

setting aside the fact that songwriting is more than just stringing together words... which we keep having to spell out for Swifties every time...

even "Von Dutch" alone clears every single song on TTPD lyrically.

The one with actual heartbreaking songs on it, like "So I"
Not the one where a billionaire wants us to feel sorry for her singing that she can "do it with a broken heart", sung over an instrumental that's a recycled version of "Supercut".

I'm checking out these so-called amazing Brat lyrics and... uhm...

"Drop down, yeah
Put the camera flash on
So stylish
Baby tears all gone
Drop down, yeah
Lookin' like an icon
Work angles, yeah"

"You're obsessing, just confess it, put your hands up
It's obvious, I'm your number one"

"Yeah, I wanna dance to me, me, me, me, me
When I go to the club, club, club, club, club, club"

"Don't wanna see her backstage at my boyfriends show
Fingers crossed behind my back, I hope they break up quick"

Perhaps one of her stans can break this down for us?
