kellebrity98 Posted June 16 Posted June 16 never, i'm just a loyal fan. i'd say s1-9 was great, some worse some better but overall all good, then s5 p1 before the final episode was actually decent, many critics and fans praised it but the final was awful, part 2 is just so bad but better than. s11, i did not like nyc, it was just boring, had some nice moments but not great. s12 imo is very good storywise, i love the book ryan adapted but the final was rushed and it was the smallest episode with 30 mins but miss EMMA and KIM K killed it acting wise so imo that season could go to the good category. the channel announced a 13th season and i think the last one, it would be iconic and Ryan will probably bring back many old faces and as it's the 13TH and maybe the last i hope they'll do crossovers too and tie everything together. 1
JoeAg Posted June 16 Posted June 16 in the middle of the Hotel season the first four seasons kinda DEFINED high school for me but once I got to uni and Hotel started I was already offput by the fact that I'd have to watch it on itunes of all places what I saw was good but far more of a slow burn than the previous seasons, which my 18 year old worm brain wasn't quite feeling at the time. I haven't sworn that I won't revisit any of the show at any point since it's easily streamable for me now, but idk there was a MAGIC in those first four seasons that I'm thinking may not have been replicable in further storylines
Rev8 Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Make a poll I wonder which one ATRLers stopped at I personally stopped at Roanoke (Cult didnt look interesting) Can't believe it still continues tho I looked at review scores and it attained a pretty good score?! (up until the last season that is) shocked since I've been hearing how awful it is, and it even hit a peak with 1984
Mania Posted June 16 Posted June 16 As everyone was leaving AHS behind the 2010s with Apocalypse, I liked 1984 but I was done with AHS after yet another terrible ending with Double Feature: Red Tide, I couldn't care to watch Death Valley.
MadMax12 Posted June 16 Posted June 16 It went downhill after Jessica Lange left. She brought a timeless class and magic to the show before it went woke. Although Cult was brilliantly written as well 2
Colmillo Posted June 16 Posted June 16 1984, I haven't seen anything after than and I'm not even curious to, which is sad because it used to be my favorite show 1
makeme Posted June 16 Posted June 16 I finished frakshow but that was hard to complete. Have no intention of watching another season but the first 3 we're amazing and 4 was good
Breathe On Moi Posted June 16 Posted June 16 this last season lol the whole Kim thing got on my nerves. but I know I'll watch next season because I just don't know any better
Illuminati Posted June 16 Posted June 16 I'm reluctant to watch every time because it just keeps going downhill. Haven't seen Delicate, Apocalypse was maybe the point where I thought the show needs to end
Dragonfly Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Ive seen everything except 2nd half of Roanoke (it was just too bad) Double Feature pt2 (annoying characters) NYC (premise didnt seem interesting) Delicate pt2 (the long break put me off)
dooart Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Nowadays i just wait for the whole season to come out so i can binge it in a day. For me, the show has lost the appeal (or need, or even excitement?) of waiting a whole week for the next episode. I think Murder House, Asylum, Hotel, Roanoke and 1984 are great seasons, and i truly enjoy Coven and Freak Show. Apocalypse was pure fanservice. Fun, but not good per se. I get what they were trying to do with Cult and it ended up being an okay season but... yeah. Red Tide / Double Feature Part 1 was the best AHS season in years, but it sadly suffered the Ryan Murphy effect by them trying to - mind you, out of nowhere - end the story with a rushed, pathetic, ridiculous *** ending, only to give space to Double Feature Part 2 that i don't know or want to know the name, since it was some of the ***ttiest episodes i've ever watched in my life. And it only lasted 4 ****ing episodes. What was the reason? Why wouldn't they give a proper ending to Red Tide? But, anyway... I watched the first 3 episodes of NYC and but by mid episode 2 i already had an idea of what was going to happen so i just stopped watching. By the end of the season, I searched for spoilers and saw that two of my biggest assumptions became true. Also, it was really bad. Delicate was cute. I was really surprised by it. It was a good ending, but confusing and rushed too. I finished it just the other day. 1
hallucinate Posted June 16 Posted June 16 jessica lange leaving also made me stop watching the show nnnn i came back with apocalypse and then watched the few previous seasons i missed like hotel, roanoke and 1984 only watched one episode of cult and that was it double feature sucked too, haven't watched anything after that and i'm not planning to 1
Squall Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Freakshow, came back for the Trump season (which was boring) and 1984 (that I enjoyed). 1
spiritboy Posted June 16 Posted June 16 I watched all seasons except Delicate. It was simply too boring for me. 1
ariananext Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Roanoke, your description, a headache, is perfect Tried to watch the Election Night pilot a thousand times but it never got me hooked, I don't even remember what season that was but I guess the one after Roanoke. 1
UnderratedVocalist Posted June 16 Posted June 16 (edited) Unfortunately, I've watched all seasons. The show peaked with its first 3 seasons, imo kind of returned to form with Roanoke and somewhat Apocalypse (it's not really great, but it does have great reply value). The last few seasons have truly been abysmal, Delicate was the final nail in the coffin. Truly THE worst season. Ryan Murphy can exit. We already have Mike Flanagan who is a MASTER at what he does, and everything Ryan wants to be. Edited June 16 by UnderratedVocalist
zoldyck Posted June 16 Posted June 16 I stopped after that 2 stories in one season. That alien part was atrocitious, and it didn't help that seasons preceding it were mediocre 1
Gesamtkunstwerk Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Apocalypse was the worst garbage, but I can't say I didn't watch the seasons that came after 1
Triton Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Freakshow, they dropped Lange and then just brought out stunt casting. Watched Apocalypse for nostalgia and watched NYC for the theme.
