VioletsandRoses
Big Girl Don't Cry was the best selling song in the Us and Australia back in 2007, while Say It Right was top 10 year end in the USA and a smash across Europe. I was shocked to find out they didn't make the year end ifpi top 10, while a bunch of hip hop songs made it that weren't big globally. Only 4 female songs made it that year. Girlfriend at #1, Flavor Of Life at #2, Umbrella at #3 and Irreplaceable at #

NEX
1/3 of Big Girls' chart run spilled over to the 2008 tracking year, otherwise it would have probably made the top 10. Say it Right wasn't as big looking at its chart run
ChrisTheLoner
Lots of popgirls and other artists were releasing that year so it's not too surprising However both are still huge songs despite not making the top 10 IPFI and are both major classics

Everyone was hungry during the mid 2000s and were dropping back to back.

byzantium
Did promiscuous make the top 10? I remember that being the bigger hit. One issue with year end charts are they cut chart runs in half sometimes. This might have happened to big girls.
Dark Miracles
SIR was released in November/December/January in different pockets of the world + wasn't given a physical release in some markets in order to boost Loose sales. For instance in the UK it 'only' peaked at #10 on digital sales alone as a result and Loose repeaked around that time Not sure about Big Girls, it certainly felt huge and had a ton of longevity IIRC
