I don't think RCA is gagging over one new hit in the past 10 years:deadbanana2:

But great Tinashe found some success again :clap3:

Like her but yeah like I doubt they're regretting or gagging over a 80 peaking song :rip:

Gagging over a top 90 placement? :suburban:

Lets pray it climbs after this statement

They missed out because tinashe is a talent who can write and produce etc. without the budget of millions and make hits. Labels would much rather take a lower peaking artist that makes a bigger profit than someone who needs constant funnelling of money into music to score top 10 for example

Why not? I'm sure Sabrina's label is gagging she has a hit with espresso after 10 years. Same with Miley and flowers.

as a label wouldn't you want that for an act you signed?

Probably not but I'm sure they (any label really) aren't too happy about indie artists coming in and showing that they can be successful with no major label to prey on them. Tinashe doing this 100% solo is bad news for labels. Especially considering the influx of former signed artists going indie :WAP:

The way the unsigned and unwashed gays in here are trying to stir up drama but the only thing they're turning up is noses with their smelly ass breath and hateful words :clap3:

some of you are being so dense - it's already outdoing every RCA song she ever dropped after 2 On (All My Friends isn't hers and didn't take off in the US) + it's continuing to grow. that's WITHOUT all the misguided meddling from a big label that she suffered while signed to them. it must feel absolutely vindicating to get this kind of hit with material you can totally stand behind and only a tiny fraction of the resources.

This is why I can't take ATRLers seriously all they care about is chart positions. :rip:

This is most likely gonna end up being her biggest selling song outside of 2 On. Of course RCA should be gagging considering has they botched her career and her getting her coins fully without their help now should get them fuming especially if this puts way more eyes on her than when she was on that label.

Yes, major labels gag everytime an independent artist gets a placement in the Hot 100 :cm:

I used to work at a label.  And let me tell you, they're doing the same thing Tinashe did…hoping and praying for a trending hit on TT.

The only thing labels are actually good for is… radio promo.  Thats it.  That's all.

They don't even develop artists anymore  or invest financially…so really what's the point of signing to a major? lol.
