How is she doing this all the time as soon as there is another woman that is close to a #1 somewhere in the world :skull:

She's gonna beef with Helene Fischer & Mylene Farmer next. :deadbanana2:

All these cheap tactics are just Taylor's way of distracting people from the lukewarm reception TTPD received from both critics and the gp. Fortnight was a weak single and people aren't really responding to it. Critics and the gp are beginning to slowly tune her out and she's trying the compensate by manipulating the charts to make TTPD look like a bigger cultural moment than it really is.

Honestly, she always have been greedy and chart obsessed. The difference is that she used to have some balance between being a capitalist freak and a high quality artist. Her tactics was always linked with real effort to create something artistically and then sell.

The problem now is that she fall off artistically completely to favor charts. Yeah she released 31 bloated songs, but 15 was digitally exclusive so it would boost her numbers beyond the already insane physical copies. She keeps dropping voice memos, but now there's a single edition for each one instead of a package. All of this while not actually engaging with her fans, not releasing new singles, new videos, absolutely nothing. The entire era is a bore mess that keeps giving nothing but new chart records that aren't really organic or meaningful to anyone but herself. Is this what being an artist is about?

The funniest aspect about all of this is that, like everything that embraces full capitalism, it just comes with fascist behavior. See how her fans are clearly being exploited and alienated to keep buying the same album over and over without receiving nothing fully creative from her in the process but they still thank her for it? The examples goes on, like her weirdly off relationship with other succesful woman lately.

At this point Taylor is the face of late capitalism crisis and fascist idol behavior in the music industry. She's forging a demand that simply isn't there after months to keep selling low-quality and half-baked versions to exploited fans that are trained to think they're friends of her so they have to defend her all the time, creating a childish persona in their eyes where she's still the eternal victim of "vile people that can't stand seeing a woman win", so they can justify her greed to be at the top no matter what.

The fact that she plans everything and then just watch silently her fans consuming her life as a Marvel project while attacking her exes or any woman that is a competition in any area to "defend her" just seal the deal, she's consumed by this idea of actually being an industry.

The idea that there isn't a lot of vile people in this thread is hilarious (calling her behaviour fascist is unhinged).  The reaction to Taylor releasing signed versions is absolutely off the rails.

Let's soundly look at what has happened here. Taylor realizes that she can go number 1 again, she releases something to try to get there. That's literally all that happened. She didn't do anything to anyone nor say anything about anyone. She released a signed version of her album. Drag her for being obsessed with chart positions all you want, but that's literally her biggest flaw here. She isn't trying to block anyone, she's trying to be number 1 - this week ahead of Bon Jovi and Charli.

Y'all also need to stop pretending that all Swifties are the same. There's definitely a part of the fanbase that are toxic. This is true for any fanbase, especially when they are this big. The vast majority of fans are not like that. Also, the vast majority of fans aren't buying this version, or any other version for that matter, of her album. These are selling a very limited amount of copies and when it's all said and done all these versions combined are gonna generate just a fraction of the money one of her dates on Wembley are going to do. Do you also think she's a disgusting capitalist because she does 8 dates on Wembley despite knowing well that there are fans who are going to see her every night (spending an absolute fortune doing so)?

Her greed is actually pathological. If she had any respect for her audience, she would've released all this bonus material at once. It is insanity to drip feed literally voice memos and alt versions and photocards or whatever she's doing each week. The utter decadence really illustrates our fallen age. Where is the restraint, the refinement. The album is PANNNED. Have some class.

People who are like "get your bag sis" are even more deranged. They can't identify the sickness. This is not normal behaviour. This "brilliant business woman" concept without grounding in the psycho spiritual reality of her actions is tragic. This is off the chain greed. Men should also be criticized for these moves too. stop Eating it UP.

It makes me what to stan her more. Like the saying says, "hate the game, not the player."

There's literally no contest and Charli, an indie pop girl finally getting her recognition and then she releases more variants of her terrible album. I mean, right now it's getting weird. What else could she possibly want? :deadbanana:

She went from making a body of music specifically selected and curated by her to just releasing ******* machine songs to "beat music records."

It's pathetic actually.

I hope Charli gets the #1. She served album of the year material unlike someone's album you can't even get 5 good songs despite releasing an album with 30 of them.

She's a brilliant business woman because her fans are unbelievably buying all those variants. So yeah, Taylor is a brilliant business woman milking her Taylor Swheeps earning minimum wage in order to bank her billions!

Whatever doesn't change the fact that Charli has a way better album and will end up being more remembered

to the swifties that are offended, Sympathy is a knife served tortured poetry more anything on PTSD but y'all are not ready for that conversation

People saying she's doing all of this to prepare for Reputation TV.. Owning the whole snake thing and making it her brand might have been cute in 2017 but anything similar now would be too corny (even for her standards). Is she gonna own being a greedy billionaire and chart obsessed? :rip:

Yeah, some of y'all lost the plot even more than those fans who buy all the variants.

I think this is just about their personal feud rather than making TTPD #1 again. Tay saw Gabriette's engagement ring on Charli XCX's ass and that was that

Can't say who made this call but this era's started to really sour me towards Taylor. The fans have done everything to ensure she reaches heights of success that no other living artist could achieve. And the thanks that they get is more bait to buy crap so she can hit metrics while she offers nothing much else in return? It's so off putting

THIS!!

it's downright near dystopian to see her fans blindly touting her and uplifting her to superhuman success levels. like what is she really doing for YOU to want to elevate her to a crazy degree?? it's concerning and highkey crypto-cultish :biblionny:

LOL i vowed to never refer to myself as such sometime back in the winter! after seeing her live last july, it felt like a closing of the sw*ftie chapter of my life and a reversion to casual listener. in fact, casual fan of some of her music is the furthest I'd venture to call myself at this point. and TTPD is nowhere near my top 18 albums of the year so far lmao

Charli wasn't projected for #1 when she dropped the signed CDs so not quite. The digital albums only happened cause she was only 300 copies away from #1, an easy reach, and realistically the only boost those digital copies would do as UK's album digital sales are next to 0 (even first week numbers for Adele and Taylor's TTPD were really low).
