Taylor continuously stokes the flames of the parasocial relationship between her and her fans, most of whom are (wealthy) children. She deserves all of the hate. 4 4

Taylor Swift is normalising this behaviour and if we don't try to stop it- other artists will follow. I personally don't want the music industry to become a cash farming mess whereby fans are brainwashed into purchasing 10s of different versions of the same album. That is not normal. 3 1

Erotic Posted June 14 Posted June 14 She would've been such a lovely bride, what a shame she's ****** in the head.

Adele (before), then Morgan, the other country dudes don't seem to have much power anymore... she could probably take on any rapper (not sure if she would tho) Morgan is the only true threat now Is she really as popular as you all believe she is? Sure her fanbase is huge but any big artist could sell out the arenas she's selling out. We all think she is huge because of her album sales- which are entirely fraudulent and inflated by the availability of so many variants.

L1veLaughL0ve Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Oh and let's not forget her fear mongering tactics. Lying to her fans and telling them certain variants are limited and webstore exclusive- just for them to end up on target shelves…. 4 1
Digitalism Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I would pass this as another one of her gimmicks but this being a UK only is kinda scary. 4

Not to mention she has brought back those "limited" variants multiple times online for a "limited" time on-sale. These sale tactics are taking advantage of her fan base. 3
Karla Cabello Posted June 14 Posted June 14 i doubt taylor cares about what charli even said... or billie for that matter. taylor and her team just see it as a way to get the fans to buy her stuff just to secure her number 1. it is money what she cares about, not some tired ass "beef" 1 1

HonourableVomit Posted June 14 Posted June 14 365 variants should we add a little track should we sign a little card 10

Sorry but trying to claim Taylor is not popular at this point is just delusional. 2
Baltie Posted June 14 Posted June 14 (edited) I honestly don't understand why Taylor feels the need to resort to these kinds of tactics. This just makes her look bad overall. If she somehow gets the number one, then congrats, but she's just looking more and more desperate releasing these random variants with an extra one or two songs (acoustic versions and voice memos ) for the charts. I've considered myself a Swiftie since 1989 but the TTPD era has truly turned me away from her, both in terms of the music itself and the greediness that Taylor is showing. Let me go continue streaming BRAT as I've been doing since release! Edited June 14 by Baltie 6
Pop Art Posted June 14 Posted June 14 The way she insists on systematically, one by one turning every female artist in the industry against her with this BS. At some point, she's going to go too far and then will know the actual feeling of the victimhood she so proudly sells when the industry starts turning against her because she took these mean and greedy antics too far. And for the slow Swifties — the issue is not simply that she's doing all she can to get the #1 this week. I would argue we would all love for our faves to have more of the success hunger she has, and we all love a good old fashioned, fair chart battle. It's the way she does it (waiting until the last minute so there's enough time to mobilize her base but not enough time for the other side to meaningfully react) and her history of repeatedly doing this that makes it just plain mean spirited, especially to someone who's not exactly massively mainstream like Charli. 9 5
