Bitter Aging Twink Posted June 12 Posted June 12 In the world of pop music, it is incredibly common to see artists reinvent themselves for each album cycle, in an attempt to reinvigorate their career and bring new life to their most recent project. Although some of these reinventions may feel like authentic personal evolutions, many times they come across as forced and contrived. In your opinion, which popstar "reinvention" felt the most calculated and/or unnatural, as if the popstar in question only underwent said "reinvention" so she could hide the fact that there wasn't really much going on beneath the surface?

If anything she's calculated and knows exactly her "risks" will be more than accepted. And image-wise…what reinventions have happened? Even Katy reinvented more from Prism to Witness

Into The Void Posted June 12 Posted June 12 If someone is capable of reinvention I Don t think they would be considered boring 1
cuteboyzay Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Ngl, I don't think Taylor Swift fits this AT ALL because she never promises that her next release is gonna be something "Reinventing" or "groundbreaking". It's always Gaga lmaoooo!!! Gaga is def not boring but she's very underwhelming once she's actually released the projects. So yeah it's def Gaga.
Soda Pop Queen Posted June 12 Posted June 12 As long as the "re-inventions" are entertaining and yield good music then idgaf about a new persona being inauthentic. They're entertainers and artists, not our best friends lol.
