My guess is that Shape of You blocked it.

A reverse true urban crossover hit serving Fancy teas hitting #1 on pop and rhythmic and hot 100 first and then going #1 on urban after it's peaked for the most part

The longevity

Racisme but most people consider latino's in with the black community so it's more likely to accept on urban than say a white person getting airplay

Royals was also a "reverse" crossover, reaching a daily #1 peak and weekly high ranking, after peaking on overall airplay. But that helped Royals stay in the Top 10 on the Hot 100 for 23 weeks. Royals crossed over from Alternative and AAA, topping both charts, then hit #1 at Top 40 and HAC, #2 at Rhythmic, and Top two at AC. Royals also reached the Top 3 at Urban, and Top 30 on UAC. BB said it charted at 10 formats. I assume it also had Latin and Dance Mix charts too.

BEST ARTIST IN THE GAME

I have been saying from the beginning that this is the BEST single released by a male artist in the 21st century.

I mean he's bringing back Blackstreet/Boys2Men/R.Kelly/KeithSweat/NewEdition to life. No wonder my people are embracing him.

This has to be the biggest 1 week @ #1 ever.

It really deserved 14 weeks @ #1 tbh. But he got stuck with the craziest competition EVER:

  1. Ed's big comeback single.
  2. DJ Khaled getting David Getta's European status in the US.
  3. & Justin Bieber getting Rihanna's GGGB hit making status at the same time.

It's like Mimi's releasing WBT between Adele's Hello comeback, Usher's Confession's breakthrough & Katy Perry Teenage Dream hit making dominance.

:clap3: It's a shame that radio doesn't pick up things at the same thing.
If only all formats could be in sync then some would have higher or longer peaks at their position.

That's what I like will most likely be the top 'urban' song of the year

Yeah they accepted him after Justified.

Bruno is not white so it's much easier to just consider him a minority and 'down'

No but TKO and Take Back The Night were Top 10 also. This and 24k were Bruno's only Top 10's on the format.
