Why draw the line and differentiate between innocent people? Desiring for only children to be saved and talking about "war around the world" without contextualizing political, economical, racial and religious conflicts is like singing "We are the world" all over again or wishing "world peace" at Miss Universe. It's just misleading, useless, romantic (in a bad way) and moralist all at once. I know we shouldn't put the pressure against artists to talk about these complex issues, but this is just pointless and, in Madonna's case, a disappointment. She's been so political and daring all along her career, this just isn't it.

Some of you need to take off your stan goggles and bffr. Yes, all children deserve safety, but her post is giving All Lives Matter. If she was able to make an entire post dedicated to the kidnapped victims of Oct 7th, why can't she do the same for the thousands of Palestinian children who were killed since? Why does she need to lump them with everyone else to make her statement as general as possible? She should've sat there and ate her food.

No one hates kids, stop with the homophobic adhonemin attacks. Of course no one is against any kid suffering, but her post is tone deaf. Its the equivalent of an all lives matter take. 
 

She might as well have made a post saying "No innocent human should suffer!!! The world deserves peace!!!". Like what's so profound about her stance? Yes all children deserve to live, but right now there is a group of children that are in more danger than the rest and are being targeted and killed at a much higher rate. They deserve our immediate attention and help. Her juvenile post is a failed attempt at virtue signaling.

my thing is I don't care if she wants to make a super general pray for the children post — my issue is that she's been silent on instagram for months while Israel has been genociding tens of thousands of Palestinians and this is where we see Palestine mentioned for the first time since October...

It's lowkey insulting and totally makes me lose respect for her as a long time fan.

 

She mentioned Palestinian children a couple times on her tour during the speaking segment and talking about how we need to protect the world's children blah blah blah — none of this really means anything if we can't call a spade a spade and make clear who is the perpetrator of this violence (Israel).

 

But she won't ever do that because of the people she's surrounded with, especially her manager.

Palestinian children deserve more than merely being sprinkled in to a generalized "think of the children" statement when we are witnessing them being killed at insane rates 

 

We can and should expect better from her

The main focus is not Palestine.
