sam.teas Posted September 12 Posted September 12 So good She slayed, but yeah, the previous album was better. some songs will remain gems forever!
JoeAg Posted September 13 Posted September 13 hmmm yeah it's a beautiful album but I fear there's nothing as distinctly intense as Try and Midnight Sun felt on Painless BUT! Binding, Mutations, and Just a Western are all very gorgeous no doubt this might also be just a grower! 1
Sandcastles Posted September 13 Posted September 13 this is stunning - I agree that it's all very low key but it's still great 1
Uncatena Posted September 13 Posted September 13 personally I think this is her weakest effort yet, but that being said, its still very good. I like the more atmospheric approach and the production is mostly complementary. but her previous albums had more of a variety in sound, which I now appreciate more.
worldwide angel Posted September 14 Posted September 14 upon second listen, i think this is her best album. painless has higher highs but i'm a sucker for a strong combination of cohesion and experimentation which she does here. my only issue, which is really a non-issue, is the fact that she dropped a lot of the singles the queen of indie rock does it again 2
Kinich Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I'll probably give this more time, loved Binding and Faith's Late the most on my first listen. 1
kandicha Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I've always been a fan of Nilüfer, but I actually think this is her first album that I immediately loved instead of just liking a lot. Something about the melodies and the textures just gets under your skin (in a good way) and sticks with you. She never lets us down! 2
JoeAg Posted September 18 Posted September 18 oh wowwww deserved tbh! this has been growing on me a lot (I might even be inclined to say that Just a Western is her best song to date lol) 2

josesuxx Posted September 18 Posted September 18 It's a beautiful record, Painless had higher highs but this is better as a whole 1
JoeAg Posted September 19 Posted September 19 the strings in Faith's Late 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 my little classically trained soul keeps ascending with that string arrangement! 2
SweetTalker Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Mutations and Ready for Sun are my favorites right now 1
JoeAg Posted September 22 Posted September 22 yo damn this grew on me so quickly my first listen honestly was a bit underwhelming, but then I got obsessed with Just a Western (probably her best song, sorry Try!) and now as of last night, the rest of it has unfolded on me like a rose of jericho. electrifying stuff, and her best album yet 2
Massive_Teardrop Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Sublime project. Took a second for the music to click for me but I can't stop listening. Her writing, vocals, production is just so honed and distinct to her 3
RideOrDie Posted October 3 Author Posted October 3 (edited) so has it clicked for yall that it's her best alboom Edited October 3 by RideOrDie
Technicolor Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I just listened to this and it's so good Faith's Late is gorgeous
bonkbanisters Posted November 13 Posted November 13 I've been listening to this all autumn long… Idk there are just so many great songs on here and it fits the season perfectly for me, I think I'm gonna check out her older albums soon 1
