PillowCase Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Could someone explain to me what they find so good about WALL-E? It ranks highest on many Pixar lists, while I find Finding Nemo or Ratatouille much better films. I just can't understand what people love about this. It doesn't move me like other Pixar films. 1 2
Shinseito Posted June 9 Posted June 9 i haven't rewatched since release but the feeling the thought of it still evokes in me... it's a classic 12
enchanted0 Posted June 9 Posted June 9 The characters are iconic The way the story expands is exciting It has that classic adventure vibes, very entertaining overall and a little twist at the end is cute The directing and score are perfect The ending is beautiful Easily one of the best movies from Pixar for sure along Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc and Incredibles. 8 1
Princess Aurora Posted June 9 Posted June 9 7 minutes ago, Poxy said: Because WALL·E is a gay icon and Eva is a queen. I saw some people on Tumblr saying that it's a sapphic love story. That explains everything 2
Sazare Posted June 9 Posted June 9 (edited) It's pretty fatphobic in retrospect but otherwise otherwise unimpeachable Ratatouille is soooooo boring, kinda the nadir of Pixar's imperial phase Edited June 9 by Sazare 3 6
nostalgic Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Cute little depressed robot doing cute depressed robot things - it's very relatable. 1
TayDuaStan Posted June 9 Posted June 9 (edited) My absolute favorite movie of all time. It's honestly incredible. It never gets old. On the other hand I would say Up & Toy Story are the overrated Pixar movies. Edited June 9 by TayDuaStan 1
Donquizote Posted June 9 Posted June 9 No, it's one of the best movies of all time. Not our problem that you can't appreciate art 1
Gorjesspazze9 Posted June 9 Posted June 9 It's one of Pixar's best. It's up there with incredibles and Toy Story. I think it deserves its acclaim 2
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted June 9 Posted June 9 It's one of Pixar's most entertaining movies and it's literally their best so, it's accurately rated 1
P.O.P Posted June 9 Posted June 9 That f@cking RAT movie and inside out are overrated as HELL. Wall-E, Up and Luca are god tier. 1 5
selena_lavigne Posted June 9 Posted June 9 It was along with Ratatouille the worst of the worst for what i was looking for back in the day. 2
wehan6 Posted June 9 Posted June 9 it's a masterpiece and should've been nominated for best picture at the oscars 1
BrokenMachine Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Watching a Disney movie about a post-apocalyptic scenario was rather new. I love the whole plot, imageries and of course Wall-E has his own charisma. The premise and message are awful tho. The concept of 'we f*ck.ed up the Earth and we're gonna do nothing about it until life restarts itself again' is kinda where we're heading right now, and it's so sad and frustrating
Cheers Posted June 9 Posted June 9 ..Omg I have never seen a God-E hater in my life. That movie is top tier. Along with LUCA! 5
Migs30283 Posted June 10 Posted June 10 No, WALL-E is best Pixar movie along with Ratatouille, Up, and Inside Out. 1
