i think we should keep our expectations for chart-performances low. gp nowadays think that the whole talking-singing with breathy voice (like sabrina) over a chill-midtempo beat is what makes it for good pop music and katy is quite the opposite of that (her songs have a loud/intensity quality to it that i love) so i don't necessarily think that we're on the best musical state for her to have a true shot at a crazy comeback but as long as the songs are good and she gives her good visuals, i'll be happy already

that's what i hope for too. i think she seems to be on the right mindset. i'm sure she would love to have this doing really well but i don't think she will do or die by its commercial results like she did during witness. which is good bc then we don't have to deal w her getting depressed
