Unfortunately, if it's a full on dance/house album like it's been hinted & rumored at, chances of a smash hit are slim. It's one of my favorite genres, but it's not what's "in" right now. Some exceptions include "yes and?", but even that fell off quickly after 1 or 2 weeks, and the Renaissance singles, but it's Beyoncé so of course. 

Well… if the song is good and well promoted/marketed she could even change the tides in the mainstream music right now. Everything is so boring and bland nowadays, this billie eilish/taylor syndrome has to go.

I think they sometimes have information before it comes to light, but what I don't know is if this time it's true or if they're just playing like everyone else to generate "hype".

There is more to it than just charts... it's really not that deep, because not many people saw those leaked images anyway, but there's always some level of damage to the artist's vision, fan excitement, marketing strategy, and overall experience (to those who care). That's all.
