ihavequestions Posted June 5 Posted June 5 (edited) Inspired by this tweet. I'm genuinely curious about what your opinions are (please no ageism). Edited June 5 by ihavequestions

Popular Post Virgos Groove Posted June 5 Popular Post Posted June 5 I don't think anyone is ever too old to discuss their fav music, but there are some behaviours you should leave in your 20s. Trolling and obsessed hating at the age of 40 is not a cute look. 28 1
Popular Post Burn Posted June 5 Popular Post Posted June 5 I don't think there's an age limit to that BUT if you're 30+ and stanning Olivia Rodrigo or something then that's more of a cause for concern. 17
Illuminati Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Idk I think stan wars between the elderly (gays over 30) can be fun, there's no need to gatekeep it Likewise I don't think there is an age limit to being a popstar, despite people constantly saying that Taylor should have retired at 30 to make room for the poor young girlies under her boot 1 1 1

Honestly that type of behaviour is already concerning if someone is in their 20s tbh The occasional drag is fine, but the hatred some users display on this site.. 8 1

Afterglow Posted June 5 Posted June 5 There's no max age limit but nobody under 16-17 should be here IMO. 1 1
Apolonio ₃₄ Posted June 5 Posted June 5 I'm 32 right now and I can't possibly see myself active on here in my 40s. Especially arguing with a bunch of teenagers and 20+ year olds. I already feel like coming on here is a chore. 1 2
Trent W Posted June 5 Posted June 5 The darker truth is that most of stan twitter and here are people in their 20s, 30s and even 40s I say this because teens don't follow pop stars, teens follow influencers, youtubers and tiktokers(tragic ) So there's that. The only ones that have real teens following are Billie and Olivia, which there isn't that many stans out there in proportion. Most of the pop girls are also 30+ and older so they can't really reach teens So the stan world is really old now 3 1

I like keeping up to date with the new releases and this has basically been my news site for 14 years nnn, but the thought of interacting… no 4 2
Anthinos Posted June 5 Posted June 5 I'm 30 and already sometimes feel too old for this forum. I'm not at all interested in these fights between fans. I think it's natural to grow out of something like that. 3

I just don't feel that spark or the urge to be super active as I was before. We've been here a long ass time it's like going through the motions.
Reginald Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Our pop royalty have active fanbases that have been following them since the 70s and 80s, or earlier. Stanning is a lifetime contract
concubine Posted June 5 Posted June 5 (edited) 23 should be the cut off age, we can all admit that you definitely don't want anybody in real life knowing about you using this website after that age tbh. I will go back to Twitter when I reach that age Edited June 5 by concubine 1

I feel like I've outgrown that in the past 1-2 years and I'm 25, sometimes I get heated but it's mostly when I see people being straight up mean and crossing lines over stan issues. At the same time, I feel like on ATRL I can find people my age to discuss my faves, I feel weird when I find out some people I come across/follow on Twitter are underage (especially in the Ariana fanbase there's a lot of them), not that I tweet anything inappropriate, but I still find it weird because I wouldn't hang out with teenagers in real life. And it's even worse when they're being explicit and I'm 10 years older than them reading the things they post
Slamless Posted June 5 Posted June 5 I just got skulldragged for saying some of the stuff in this thread
