Selena Gomez' pop rock era | Appreciation thread

Queen fed us with some of first-class pop rock, pop punk, electronic rock, power pop classics and we just let it slide. K&T was perhaps the best pop rock record record from Disney girl in late 00s.

I'm sorry but there is literally nothing punk about Falling Down... if you look up pop-punk she does not fall in that genre. Unless if you truly think Falling Down sounds like Green Day, Avril Lavigne, Sum 41, Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, etc.

Falling Down genre is literally

Genre

Selena Gomez & The Scene is literally defined as a pop-rock band

you're mad because Selena Gomez was more punk at 16 years old than all those artists combined.

This song was released when she abandoned pop rock and yet she still fed us some edge with this one:jonny5:

There's no punk influence whatsoever. Pop/rock yeah, but no punk. Punk has certain types of riffs and vocalizations and Selenita has none in her music. Paramore has punk riffs and drumming influence in their early music. This forum calls a lot of stuff pop/punk only because of a guitar or the singer wears black and has musty hair. The Scene's music is pretty straightforward pop/rock with stronger emphasis in the pop side. It banged for Disney music lol

I quite literally wish K&T received its own tour. The fair / festival tour was cute but i feel like it deserved more serious approach. Imagine a joint tour with Demi tho:duca:

all these used to sound like straight up pop to me back then, even when I heard Evenesence on radio I thought it was just pop. But going back now I realize how heavily influenced they were by rock. Glad this sound is slowly making its way back.
