The way this still sounds so fresh 15 years later :jonny5:The debut album as a whole was excellent too.  Though nowadays if it came out, you could almost describe it as a song created by AI.

there is nothing to appreciate about this song other than that it is being the first lesbian presentation on the TV.

People do not understand how insufferable and insecure this woman was. Glad she was a one hit wonder.

Loved the song and the music video, her look and style were shocking to me in 2009 as she looked androgynous. She could have been bigger if she stuck with the same sound, but her and her producer went separate ways.

anyways, this mashup is 10/10:

Had this blasting the other day. La Roux's entire discography is immaculate.

Bulletproof is pop perfection, for sure, but you know which songs are pop MASTERPIECES?

La Roux and Little Boots both had a chokehold on me in 2009 :jonny: ugh, what a time to be alive

why Reflections Are Protection wasn't a single will always be BEYOND me :WAP:

if she wanted to snatch a second big hit in america, that would've done the trick! In for the Kill is too much of a slow burn of a song to have smashed in the US after Bulletproof tbh

The whole album SLAPS

I have always been a fan. Saw her live in 2012 and she was amazing.

some of my favorites are As If By Magic, I'm Not Your Toy, Fascination, Cover My Eyes…they change all the time though. Love the hard hitting electronic beats against her high pitched vocals. Her other albums are good but unfortunately this first one is clearly the best overall sonically

A classic, A CLASSIC!!!

One of first albums I bought. Full of amazing songs, mentioned above "Fascination", "Reflections are Protection" or "Growing Pains", but let's not miss "I'm Not Your Toy"!!!

"Trouble in Paradise" is great album aswell.
