GGGB RE: birthed the modern Rih :michael:

Loud is great but to me, everything after GGGB was a victory lap for her

Before and After ANTi it's still GGGB. Period.

GGGB is 17 years old and is outstreaming ANTi. It's clear its her best album and hopefully her first Diamond album.

I could understand why anyone would select Good Girl Gone Bad as such, but I feel like it's Unapologetic. I feel like it perfectly encapsulates the essence of Rihanna, pulling from previous albums and perfecting her craft. Rated R is a close second to that.

Good Girl Gone Bad, in my opinion, has the better singles, but I feel like Unapologetic has aged better.

In the UK, Loud feels like her quintessential album (including Anti).

the singles were beasts, and the chokehold that red hair had on UK girls was.. something

Is Rated R really overrated when the fans nor the GP barely acknowledge it outside of Rude Boy?

the fans definitely acknowledge it, some people think it's a masterpiece or near. despite having some good songs I don't think so myself.

Outside of Rated R... I would have to say Good Girl Gone Bad.

It's the original bad gal.

I think the quentessential Rihanna album, including Anti - which I find underwhelming, is Good Girl Gone Bad. My favorite is Unapologetic, and I think it also aged the best. Loud has the best singles. Though my personal favorites are on Rated R.

The Loud singles alone make it the best Rihanna album, before or after ANTI.

As others have said, it's by far her most iconic look, too.

Quintessential as in it represents her style of music best is Unapologetic, even more so than ANTI.
