thatsmydemi Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 (edited) Sharpest Tool is cute Edit: maybe too long because I want to jump to the next track and there's minute left still nn Edited August 23, 2024 by thatsmydemi
Minto Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 i mean i'm never expecting anything groundbreaking from sabrina carpenter so i should've known but the production on this is sounds like a sophomore album not someone on their 6th album…
thatsmydemi Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Why does Coincidence sound like those old Disney acoustic songs? It's giving Camp Rock track vibes lmao.
Illyboy Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Okay Dumb & Poetic, who told you you could read me for filth like that???
RedOne Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 This was already mentioned, but this album does feel like Radical Optimism where singles are the best part and the rest of the album is just mid. Espresso sticks out just like Houdini in RO. 1
thatsmydemi Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Bed Chem is cute but not close to Taste or Good Graces. Too much talking and whispering for me. The production is one of the most interesting so far.
selena_lavigne Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Sharpest Tool is the only good song on here.
Illyboy Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Lie To Girls at times reminds me of DYKTTATUOB (the album) by Lana I think my faves so far are still Taste, Good Graces, Bed Chem, Espresso (obviously) and mayyyybe Dumb & Poetic/Juno the rest are a tad too country for my taste or just meh but for people who like this genre it's good It's just not my cup of tea overall
thatsmydemi Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Wait, Slim Pickins sounds amazing in the studio. That live performance was meh but I love it here! 1
Minto Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 lie to girls bridge is fantastic at the very least
SpaceOddity Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 If they plan on having more singles after Taste, Good Graces or Juno should be the move.
thatsmydemi Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Juno is a BOP and Lie To Girls' bridge is perhaps the highlight of the album.
ohjulia Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Well, count me as an official Sabrina fan there was only about one or two songs I liked from her previous album, recently I became obsessed with her on the Eras tour, absolutely loved Espresso and Please Please Please and now I'm really liking this album I think my favorites are Sharpest Tool and Juno (and the singles). 1
Lose My Breath Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 There are some good tracks, and some just okay. Overall, I like it

harry_bev Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 'Makes paintings with his tongue (lalalalalalala)' - the imagery, the humour - her MIND. Summer smash confirmed.
kellebrity98 Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 mama already charting with half a day in AUS, i raise my debut prediciton to 70-80 million
thatsmydemi Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 (edited) My rating Taste: 8/10 Please Please Please: 3/10 Good Graces: 7/10 Sharpest Tool: 5/10 Coincidence: 4/10 Bed Chem: 6/10 Espresso: 8/10 Dumb & Poetic: 4/10 Slim Pickins: 7/10 Juno: 8/10 Lie To Girls: 7/10 Don't Smile: 5/10 Overall score: 6/10 Overall, it's a good album. The highs are not that high, to be honest. There's not a single track that truly stands out production-wise or simply because it's "so good". Sadly, songs in red and yellow are probably songs I'll never hear again but who knows, they may grow on me. Those in green have already been added to my liked tracks playlist. I've got a problem with her. I can't connect with her voice or emotions in the slow/ballad department in this album. Lie To Girls and Slim Pickins are the only exception because the production is actually good. Highlight of the album: the bridge on Lie To Girls. Edit: seeing everybody's confused reactions to this, let me clarify this is my first listen. Of course I will listen to the album more than once and it will change (I liked it so there's no reason I won't replay it). Edited August 23, 2024 by thatsmydemi 1 6
kayliah Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 She is a good songwriter ....i like taste and bed chem so far. Seems like the go to singles. Good choice she will probably debut at No 1 on the Hot 100 with Taste. That music video will boost the song. It has replay value with the teaser setting it up nicely. The album is alright, not a home run. Nice to follow her. Hope her newfound success boost songs like smoke and mirrors. If you know you know.
PrismaticOwen Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 TASTE IS A SMAAAASSSHHH!!!! halfway through my first listen of the album 1
