Sabrina Carpenter - 'Short n' Sweet'

Pretty lame on first listen tbh. The productions are really flat. I wish we would have more Espresso's instead of the whole album being PPP's vibe. :rip:

Taste, Bed Chem and Juno are cute and catchy though.

Juno has clearly a hint of Fleetwood Mac into it :jonny6:

Juno should have been the third single over Taste tbh

This album is a chop I'm sorry. Sabrina herself is fab but her music is very hit or miss for me. Her singles are usually GREAT and then you listen to the album and it's just underwhelming :rip:

I definitely prefer Emails I Can't Send to this. But then again her audience is caucasian girlies so I can't be surprised that it's not resonating.

It's released on late August and it sounds like a late summer album. I love that vibe even though Espresso ends up being the only caffeine kick moment 🤣

Not a single song as good as Espresso. Eh.

This has HUGE replay value, not a single song I didn't enjoy and I've listened 4 times through.

The bop-only listeners will be disappointed, but this is ear candy for the singer-songwriter girlies.

Album full of Good Graces please.

It's that breezy 2000's Jessica Simpson pop.

This is so bland, I do not understand where that Sabrina hype comes from?

I definitely prefer emails I can't send, this is just cute. Espresso remains the best song, with Juno as top 2.

First time listening to an album of her, and it's cute

Nothing groundbreaking, but consistent and solid

I kinda knew this would happen to be honest.

The sad thing to me is her productions just seem uninspired. It's fine to be a singer-songwriter but you also need to be a producer/sound engineer to make sure you're craft is composed completely.

The songs just feel like demos except for Espresso.

Seriously now, I didn't even know she was releasing an album this early. I woke up today to a friend on Discord doing a reactiong to "Short n' Sweet" and I skimmed over it until I saw "espresso: cultural reset" and I was like "wait, Sabrina released an album???"

Anyways, 4 songs in I can say this is AOTY material, Good Graces is a bop. This must be up in the charts isn't it.

Maybe it isn't really my cup of tea but it's cute so far.

Yeah it's my biggest problem with this album, the lyrics are lyricing, the melodies are melodying but the productions aren't producing :doc:

Someone get her in touch with Dan Nigro asap, she needs an actual good teacher

Love this album. It's definitely not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but Sabrina just continues experimenting and showing how versatile she is.

This is legitimately like 10x better than EICS. And I STANNED the Singular eras.

Not a fan of Sabrina but I thought the album was cute. My faves so far are Coincidence and Juno.

Bed Chem is groovy, I like the retro-y sound and the distortions around 1:45. Maybe I'll post a top after I'm done listening to the whole album (or not, I'm forgetful)
