i really wanted to love this but the first few listens were sadly very disappointing :deadbanana4: i'm shocked

only Taste, Bed Chem & Don't Smile grabbed my attention... those are def single materials me thinks but yeah- def will need more time with this one.

wait the Shania comparisons are so accurate

i wonder how the H100 battle is gonna shake up

Taste being #1 on NMF and #2 on TTH, 1st on tracklist and with the Jenna Ortega video push i could see going viral like PPP 1st week

PPP is rising HARD on radio and she just performed at Fallon

Espresso still has the highest radio overalll and will likewise get a good streaming boost too

Spoiler

i don't wanna jinx it but imagine she occupies the whole top 3

Did she actually write these songs about Shawn? Because Dumb & Poetic in that context... :deadbanana:

Tbh that's exactly how I'd imagine dating Shawn is like :deadbanana:

Head empty, just vibes :deadbanana:

Well I gave it a listen.

It is that kind of uncomplicated cute guitar pop, very Taylor style.

The only songs, except Espresso which have different vibe are God Graces and Bed Chem and those could be Ariana rejects from few years ago.

Not one song is extremely original or stand out.

It is nice, cute and as the name of the album is "sweet n short" background music

this was so good :jonny5: my top 3 is juno, good graces, and dumb & poetic so far

this album is everything i could've wanted after Emails. her lyrics somehow got even better this time around, and im happy she hasn't stopped being so direct.

i love them all and have yet to hear the album with headphones buttt top 3 atm would be Bed Chem, Juno, and Sharpest Tool

I wonder if short N Sweet will get a third multimonth top 10.

female albums that managed to get three from 2015-2024: 1989 (style, bad blood, wildest dreams), sour (drivers license, deja vu, good 4 u).

taste and bed chem would be the most likely.

I'll have a double Espresso, please.

No song is coming close to that one!

Obviously Good Graces sounds like Ariana but is anyone else hearing Hold It Against Me by Britney in the verses nn

Wow, judging by the comments on popheads and atrl, this album really is dividing people! It feels like the crowd that only just got into her through Espresso aren't enjoying it as much.

I'm loving this, especially the early Kacey Musgraves writing throughout the whole album. I think this has less euphoric moments than EICS (which was nearly flawless for me, deluxe included), but it's still a great follow up. And mess if most of the album is about Shawn, at least he gave her really good material to write about.

A very uneventful album :chick1:

Kinda love that she stuck to the one Ariana copycat per album rule :jonny6:

The album isn't to my tastes for Pop music but it's well engineered & has good sequencing.

yeah not sure why people expected an album of all Espressos, even on EICS you can tell her style is not just bops, but midtempos and ballads.

glad she released PPP cause that's a better preview of the album

also ngl this is better in the long run than just mindless bops, the slower confessional folky songs will cement her female fanbase like Olivia/Taylor

I enjoyed about half of the album. It's pretty good from start to finish, just some songs are not really my style.

My favs were Taste, Good Graces, Bed Chem, Espresso, Dumb & Poetic and I don't know how I feel about Don't Smile... Interested to hear what Needless to Say sounds like

Good Graces is a HIT top 3 for me.

Bad Chem is an amazing album track too top 3. Reminds me of Bad Time/Prfct

Juno is also top 3.

I enjoy Don't Smile. It reminds me of All That by Carly Rae

it's good album to listen as background, wish it had more interesting production cause so far it all sounds so alike to me and almost about one topic so it sounds like one long song lol

Taste was the correct single choice :ryan3:
