Don't Smile!!! That caught me by surprise in the best way possible. Taste, Good Graces, Juno & Bed Chem were my other favs. Overall I liked 8/12 songs on my first listen but I feel like the album is a grower for sure

I haven't heard the album yet (waiting for the official release :heart2:) but why should he pay for giving us an excellent production on PPP aka Sabrina's first #1 smasha?

OT: 4 hours for me, so perched :duca:

Spoiler

His other contributions are easily the worst and I feel like it has influenced some other songs that he hasn't worked on too

severe lack of bops sadly, tho I do see taste doing well

Juno is also really fun, I wish the album had more of that

Sounds worrying, but I still have faith in Sabrina :sherlock: The album might be a grower anyways :gaycat5:

Well lots of positive reactions in here so you might like it too! Just don't expect tons of bops lol. If you like her slower work you might like this too

I say i genuinely do not like the album and i get told to shut up and get called a freak. Bunch of losers are what the Carpenters are showing up to be. And i was a genuine fan for 8 years.

I come on here every day to have conversations about music. I come on here to see who's releasing. To jump into our fantasy world that was created with love and these little carpenters wanna come at me. I will act like this album doesn't exist.

why you feel so attacked? you called the album trash and started a fight alone and we said you were too dense and your attitude now is still showing it. You have the right to not like the album but your attitude and how you put your opinion was very freaky tbh so don't start play the victim because with the words trash and garbage you will obviously get your bite back by the people that have enjoyed the album. If you like to discuss then we are doing it so

I was hoping for this album to be more instant tbh, especially after Espresso. On first listen this album is not for me…we'll see if it grows.

Bad Chem & Juno are the highlights :WAP: Taste and Don't Smile are cute too

espresso still the best song off the album. Juno comes close

Depends for me. I liked a few slower cuts on emails (the title track, Tornado Warnings, decode, opposite), but also didn't like some of them as well (Already Over, how many things, skinny dipping), so... :michael:

This what your 15th post about not liking the album like move

I was expecting to hear a lot of 80's retro pop inspired songs based on these two singles, but she experimented with other sounds!

I need more action in here please...

This reminded me of Radical Optimism where the singles were the best part of the album and the rest of the songs were different, but I think it could be a grower, I liked it on first listen.

I feel like how you react to the album is mostly based on expectation. This is exactly what I expected from a post-eics/post-Espresso Sabrina and I love it. She was never going to do a full album of Espressos, so if that was why you tuned in you're probably going to be disappointed. On the flip side, this was never going to be bedroom pop EICS.

Anyways, not a fan of her slower songs generally speaking, but those have never been my cup of tea. Juno, Good Graces and Taste are so fun! Bed Chem and Don't Smile (despite it being slower) are vibes.

I had this feeling for the longest time, it felt like Nespresso was an afterthought, or a one-off, never part of the plan.

This album is not something that I normally don't gravitate towards. I think I need some time with it.

My initial standout is Don't Smile. I just want to fall in love and slow dance to this song in my most beautiful outfit.

It's not ''love at first sight'' but I know I will love it at certain times.

Album sadly screams Jack's boreness.

He ruins everything.

I'm glad she was able to come up with espresso tho. Best song on the album.

:celestial5:  It seems like this is a really good album but I am not seeing AOTY type comments.  With this album being the last major drop of the year it seems as if that Grammy has Billie written on it.

Amazing album. Love the country singer-songwriter elements.

No skips but my standout faves after letting them simmer:

Taste

Good Graces

Juno

Dumb & Poetic

Bed Chem

Don't Smile

Slim Pickins
