Sabrina Carpenter - 'Short n' Sweet'

Conisdering both Please and Slim Pickins have a sort of country vibe to them, I wonder if any of the other songs will follow that sound? I really hope so. Please/Slim Pickins remind me of late 70s/80s Dolly, so I would love to see her become that for this gen of pop girls.

well if we are optimistic it can be another emails I can't send kind of song but instead as an intro is an outro of the album and tbh emails is one of my favorite songs from her lyric-wise. Just brilliant

Very excited for this album! I am very curious to hear it all and see the visuals with the booklet, etc.

I feel like it's been very muted concerning her these past few weeks, which makes me hope she's just busy working so when the album drops she'll be everywhere again. Espresso and PPP are huge and it's great she seemingly went into hiding since then as to not become overexposed but I hope she comes back swinging once the album is out and really promotes it like her career depends on it (because lets face it, it does) I'd love for her to get at least one My Everything / Future Nostalgia sized era considering she's been hustling for quite some time :bird:

I think she's just resting. She has been working non stop since the release of Espresso and I think she's just rehearsing for tour.

Anyway I trust her team tbh, they have been doing great and I know they have a plan behind to back it up but also I hope she can relax on this days since I want her to give it all on the tour and the VMA's

do you guys think she has any chance of debuting at #1 on Billboard 200?

idk what you guys are worried about, i'm not that worried. both singles are still top 5 ww and top 10 us.

i know we need a new single on Friday but I still think the album will do great either way

I'm very curious about this as well. I mean, given her past releases, anything top 20 is an improvement, let alone top 10. I think #1 will come down to how well they've positioned her. Does she have enough people tapped in for the album to beat out Post in his second week and stave off Taylor and Chappell? I guess we'll see.

FWIW, she has moved 600k pre release (not pre-order) units based on Espresso and Please Please Please performance. The last album to do that was SOS which went on to ~do 318k first week. Obviously not aiming that high but hopefully she can at least break double digits and hit 100k.

Saw this the other day. This is what it's currently looking like for release week and on:

—Spotify event (August 20th)
— Jimmy Fallon (August 22nd)
— Short n' Sweet release (August 23rd)
— Exclusive fan event (August 23rd)
— VMAs (September 11th)
— Short n' Sweet Tour (September 23rd)

I am hoping there's some print and online interviews mixed in there as well. Love that we've got at least one late night show but she needs more. If there's a week to be overexposed this is the week.

With physicals alone she has top 3 secured. Also if PPP and Espresso does 2.5M combined streams like they are today she'll obviously have a chance to be #1. It will all depend on how the new single would perform but I see an 80% of chances of her getting the #1

I think #3 is my prediction. I would love for her to get the #1 (and given past runs, the album reaching even #3 is a huge feat) but I realistically don't see Taylor and Post slowing down to open up that path. She could maybe get it if Island pulled all the stops, so maybe that's what the quietness is about? Readying for the release week strategies.

Do we know the producers of this album? I'm hoping for more Espressos's aka songs!

Ian Kirkpatrick, Julian Bunneta, Jack Anthonoff and John Ryan.

So far the country/twang songs (PPP and Slim Pickins) are produced by Jack and he produced also Sharpest Tool and Lie To Girls so if they follow the country pattern, those songs would be the only country ones and the rest would be glittery glossy bops ala Feather, Read Your Mind, Nonsense and Espresso

of course! she'll for sure do +100k and +200k is a possibility.

guys we can't use 'emails i can't send' as the direct comparision when she's had Espresso and PPP

It's not a fluke, it's not luck, they're not only tiktok songs

she has people interested about her.
