Sabrina Carpenter - 'Short n' Sweet'

I'm so glad to see her smashing and making ATRL cope and seethe. I've been a stan of hers since the Girl Meets World days and always knew she was going to have a breakout moment sooner than later but I never expected her to reach these heights. I'm also proud of her recent wind of success given that she grew up a few towns over from me and I always heard really really nice things about her (regardless of what those blind items on TikTok say about her). I love her so much

So happy that Julia is involved too, yes she has her fair share of insecurities and is a mess for that meltdown, but we all know that the stan world is the pits and she's not the first or the last one to let these people get to her, plus none of that takes away from the fact that she's very talented and has her own signature style which makes dedicated music lovers instantly recognize her involvement in everything she touches, which the rare in this age of excessive sampling and plagiarism.

I'm also glad that they proved how mature they are by not letting stupid **** like that ruin the relationship and connection they built with emails, but I'm kind of annoyed that Sabrina didn't reconnect her with Jack, the three of them on a track would've been incredible as a fan of all of them, but excited nonetheless and can't believe that we're less than two weeks away :jonny:

:michael:  She released Emails when she was about 23 years old so before that she was still a child. Sure we believe you. On another note didn't Taylor also disown her own early works ?

With all due respect, and my ignorance of the discussion, no, Taylor has never disowned any of her work, not even "ME!".

In fairness to Sabrina, she has her reasons to say what she said about "sophomore" album.

She has two smashes in her bag with no signs of recurrency. :WAP:

Push Espresso on album release I fear for that Hot 100 #1 peak.

It's one remix away.

I have to say, I'm actually quite pleased with the credits. She's got a proven track record with Amy and I'm very excited to hear what else she and Jack cooked up as well as Ian.

Now, I really don't like Julia. I know she's immensely talented and I have a lot of respect for her. However, Sabrina is low-key the only artist Julia has worked with where I genuinely love their output. Tornado Warnings has become one of my favorite tracks of the last like five years. Not to mention Already Over and BILAB so I'm actually happy they continued writing together :jamming:

I was somewhat worried she'd completely clean house heading into this album, especially with the addition of Jack, but just based on the credits this seems like the perfect mix of new collaborators and her tried and trues. Makes me even more excited :wanda:

Where?

She posted something on IG about Short N Sweet being released (15 days to be exact) so I fear on the 15th we are gonna have the next single

I think making Taste the next single would be a nice move since first tracks usually get more exposure than the other ones

I kinda wanted her to drop another single (even if one week before the album) so she could have another moment.. cause we know eras are basically over nowadays after the album drops. I guess they don't want to risk ruining the hype for the album (or they're not really sure what song should be the third single and want to let the GP decide..) I hope she has a music video ready to drop for the album release at least, her two videos for this era were really good and definitely contributed to the success of the songs

it feels like she lost a bit of momentum with the rise of Chappell/Charli/Billie, but hopefully she can release the 3rd single very soon and snatch it back.

I'm happy she's working with Julia. Julia can make some bops :heart2:

I wasn't a fan of that country song she performed recently or PPP but still looking forward to this.

By the way, I was thinking she would do well singing R&B songs and I found out about Honeymoon Fades. I was blown away :jonny: I'd love a R&B Sabrina album. Her voice sounds phenomenal.
