réveuse Posted June 2 Posted June 2 This just proves that Disney has lost their touch with personal and intricate stories and has resorted to farting out cheap cash grabs. 2

Raver Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I just saw Luca for the first time with my Niece and thought it was a nice movie. How dare they 1
Chiidish Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Lightyear (their mass appeal attempt) was the only real flop though ???? Luca is thoroughly enjoyed? Turning Red had so much buzz and streaming success? Elemental has amazing box office legs? 1 1
Cheers Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Luca is amazing so he can FAWK off. Turning Red is loved among children. Elementals is a good family movie.
fridayteenage Posted June 2 Posted June 2 it's the first time pixar's gone 3 years in a row without an animated oscar. i blame pinocchio for stealing turning red's win
LastKiss Posted June 2 Posted June 2 (edited) not him blaming the best movies they have had in AGES for their own stupidity Edited June 2 by LastKiss 4 1
badidearight Posted June 2 Posted June 2 luca and turning red are everything we don't need ten more toy story and cars sequels
Smarticle Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Hope Inside Out 2 flops so they don't bank on 'sequels and spinoffs' 2
ariesgroove Posted June 2 Posted June 2 only dud they had was lightyear, everything else felt like a solid project
Aston Martin Posted June 2 Posted June 2 But their biggest successes come from stories that are heartfelt and personable. And while I'm not a Hollywood studio executive, something tells me that a more expensive theater experience + movies going to streaming 5 minutes after they begin their theatrical run has more to do with some less-than optimal box office returns. 1
Eóghan Posted June 2 Posted June 2 these 3 movies are derivative, so he didn't exactly lie but churning uninspired sequels isn't the answer either. long gone are the days when pixar would release a masterpiece almost EVERY year. my favorite combo was Ratatouille (2007) > Wall E (2008) > Up (2009). they didn't let anyone breathe with this one 3
Europe Posted June 2 Posted June 2 If this leads to them finally giving us Finding Nemo 3 then I am all for it. Pleeassseeee
EnigmaticAndroid Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Lightyear was a bigger bomb than all 3 combined and Elemental became a word-of-mouth success. Even Luca and Turning Red were big hits on streaming, and we're never able to make a profit since they never had proper theatrical rollout. Their bet on Lightyear ended up being a complete humiliation
