Taylor released two more variants of TTPD despite predicted to be #1 again. Why?

Her fans have the option of not to buy every version she releases, it's not like she's forcing them to buy at gun point.

Having said that, this era should never ever be compared to physical sales era because it's getting ridiculous each day and Taylor is not the only one to employ those tactics. Oh those were the days when artists released only a limited or deluxe edition of their albums.

Because she is greedy and wants to milk her fans.

This is the reality.

I mean you can't blame her, but why would her fans buy another version of this?

They are the stupids who buy the same album multiple times.

all of the records this album broke are becoming so fraudulent :biblionny:

can you even call this an album anymore?

Just sell them as standalone singles or put them up on streaming as singles, this is ridiculous :deadbanana4:

surely she must have broken some kind of record for the most versions of one album?

Not even close, even Melanie Martinez has more

Are the acoustic versions new vocals or just different instrumentation? just curious

i love her, but probably same vocals like shes done in the past - lazy.

not worth it.

I miss the days when we only had two editions: standard and deluxe (Target) and when artists would only release a final edition near the end of the era and put some new songs on it. Like: I am Sasha Fierce Platinum Edition and Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection. This doesn't make any sense now. I hope Billboard gets stricter on this.

She don't give a f anymore

It seems like she's chasing a record, but I'm not sure what it is yet.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of these CDs becomes the next LLFP. I don't think she's done releasing them yet.

maybe some of yall would be more happy seeing Morgan Wallen at #1?

At this point Taylor Swift albums are the offline equivalent to a gacha-game :deadbanana2:

So…is she going to release 31 variants, with each variant having an exclusive edition of a song?

I always felt bad for the swifties, but this is reaching new extremes.

There's no need to feel bad for us. I don't buy any of these. Some people buy them all. Some only buy 1 or 2. We make the decisions that make the most sense for us, she isn't mind controlling us or holding our families hostage. She's providing options for consumers to choose from. She's a brand at this point, and this is what brands do. They meet their demand by upping their supply and offering choices.

No ones telling you to buy it my fellow "swiftie"

I'm more concerned with her cheapening her art with desperate cash grabs. I guess the signed vinyl and cd I bought were not enough to classify me as a "Swiftie" though. Tragique for me. :sadviolin:

The era is obviously extremely successful, but idk it's leaving a bad taste

The album is okay, not her best or worst, but the way she has been managing has been bad ngl

The problem is not the music for sure, but how her and her team are managing it

It felt like she was more successful during Midnights because the way she went back on top on a positive light.

Im not even sure if TTPD is bigger than Midnights numbers wise.

The gimmicks are horrible

billboard needs to switch their charts to entirely streaming-only. filter out the bulk buying fans please and show us what's really being consumed by the american public.
