Mr. Duff Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Fortnight's a great song, but not lead single material to be honest. It still did pretty well, but it was no Anti-Hero. It could be a Yes And do ICDIWABH's WCBF. I wish Taylor would still push singles, but I understand that the albums are more important and she's selling the body of work as a whole.

Feanor Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Now hopefully it will also help push the units of its parent album like "Fortnight" has. It seems like it could need it. 4 1
Both Sides Now Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Fortnight chart performance is giving LWYMMD. Too bad TTPD doesn't have a Delicate 2
SweetenerNostalgia Posted May 30 Posted May 30 but i thought ariana was a b-list artist, i don't understand
Cruel Summer Posted May 30 Posted May 30 I love Fortnight and think it could have done some serious damage on the charts with a more intentional promotional approach and in a slightly less competitive environment, but I think it's honestly doing just fine. The TTPD era feels more like a bigger Folklore, in commercial terms, than a second Midnights - more focus on the album than singles. I also love Ariana, WCBF, and seeing her have another hit to add to her long list. It's been nice to see her prove that the people who doubted her at the beginning of her era were wrong. It's a win-win for me. 2
Green Posted May 30 Posted May 30 To think a few weeks ago some Swifties were saying that "We Can't Be Friends" was a quick hit 2

I would put them on ignore but I like their avi lol OT: a solo second single smashing like this without a feature of the most successful MPB in the world or the biggest album opening week. Talent always wins 1 1
