Democrats in full-blown 'freakout' over Biden

This is what I'm hoping and have been realistically pushing for. I don't like Gavin but at least with a Gavin/Harris ticket I can hold my nose and vote for them. Even as a vote against Trump. I refuse to vote for Biden. Morally speaking, I just can't. It isn't just Biden unwavering support of a foreign, fascist country that he's putting before America. It's his many intentionally broken campaign promises, his ineffectiveness to get anything substantively done and his age being big factors. Voters don't have visceral distain and contempt for Gavin like we do with Biden. Granted that's also in part because Gavin isn't a household name unless you're someone who follows politics closely. But that would also play in Gavin's favor. He comes across quite likable in interviews (again, I'm not a fan) even though he's another establishment democrat. Most voters will see him as a handsome, charismatic nice guy with decent policies. Gavin simply doesn't come with the baggage Biden does.

Sorry for the paragraph. I just have a lot to say. :jonny5:

Refusing to vote for Biden is voting for Trump and Gavin would support Israel just as much as Biden or Trump.

its too late but yeah,

Biden can still be replaced at the convention in August. He's the oldest president in US history. I'm pretty sure everyone would understand his decision to step down.

Yeah Trump doesnt support Israel or Genocide yet is going to win.. right. Biden has been losing against trump in polls for ages Israel **** had nothing to do with it.

Biden was struggling in the polls, but a majority of his base believes Israel is committing a genocide. Trump's base doesn't care about this as much overall. Gaza was likely the final nail in his coffin.

I mean if we look at polls barely anything has really changed in terms of how hes performing.

I really doubt they replace Biden and its too late because Gavin wont have time to really campaign.

As a non-American it seems incredibly obvious Trump is going to win this? And like, the Democratic party knows, so why aren't they looking for a better candidate than the nearly croaking senile genocide supporter??

Pundits kept saying Biden's polling would improve as Trump's trials began and Gaza would become less of an issue, but Biden's numbers aren't budging. Maybe he is just a weak, unsalvageable candidate?

Oh I agree but dont think israel has played much of a imapct in that the 99% of people really dont care about it and the young left wing voters are a small %.

it's a common misconception that, statistically doesn't translate to reality.

we can all skip our votes without fearing it will go to the other side

@ForgottenSoul Blaming thousands of Michigan voters whose entire families have been killed instead of the millions of voters nationally who consistently stay home EVERY election is profound hubris and exactly the problem.

Shaming has not worked and will not work. It's gaslighting at its finest to avoid discussion of actual policy change.

This is a negative partisanship election that based on our electoral system, will again, be decided on roughly 100-200K votes in the Upper Midwest. Specifically what used to be his base. Or at least a tenuous version of it.

The saddest part of all of this is he knows this and doesn't care.

I've said it before, but upperclass white women will come in and save the day for Biden. Dems will likely get one more election victory out of the abortion issue.

We had candidates in our primaries but people like to ***** way more than you know, actually standing in line in a primary vote. People just didn't want him off the ticket bad enough I guess. That compiled with his foreign policy is a recipe for disaster for us. I'm honestly considering Canada if Trump is the winner. My uncle said I can chill there until Trump steps down if he does but I have no idea how long I could stay or citizenship options. I'm gay, I can't stay in the USA under Trump again now that he's learned how to work the system and has the court stacked.

If we didn't have an Electoral College, I'd completely agree with you.

The enthusiasm of older Michigan white women and the rage of the Michigan Muslim diaspora will cancel each other out in November. I've been consistent in arguing that since February.

There's also the false illusion that ticket splitting has given liberals that Biden will continue to be able to ride out Roe's coattails.

The greatest exhibits to destroy that theory will be the red state referendums that will continue to succeed while their Democratic counterparts don't - Exhibit A is Florida.

The ONLY way forward is to dissolve the country. The Democratoc states should for a new country. The Trumpists, around 100 - 150 million Americans today, are simply too far gone. Then Trump can establish Gilead and we're done with it.

The donor class is trying to avoid blame for the inevitable fallout when Biden does lose instead of discussing actual policy shifts.

Which I suppose is slightly better than the blind narcissism of Robby Mook, and by extension, the woman he was working for.

Trump supports genocide. His supporters like genocide. This helps him win.

Biden supports genocide. His supporters DO NOT like genocide. Will this help or hurt his chances of winning?

I blame both non voters and people who wont vote for a candiate due to one issue and Im not blaming those families? If your affected by it then obviously dont vote like what?

with everything happening in the US and project 2025 you'd think democrats would have an easy win and yet they managed to colossally **** it up
