J.Lo is still a great performer and she should be able to have a limited residency if she wanted to. That was years ago and I'm saying this as a J.Lo fan but I think she needs to fly under the radar for at least a year or so. There's too much controversy surrounding her right now that I think a small hiatus would benefit her greatly. I think she should focus on booking a film that would challenger her. She doesn't even need to score for a oscar baiting film but I think a more vulnerable role like "Enough" would make people respect her more in 2024. 4

Yeah she's not the type she is a workaholic.. she's gonna make films and probably release droplets or partner with a brand she loves to work. Thats her thing, shes not dua lipa taking vacations all year long or hilary duff. Let haters hate. She really should have made some pop dance records with some cool new producers and secure that grammy but no she always wants to do hip hop rnb songs when those days are over for her. Go dance and pop Edited May 28 by kayliah

Go dance and pop The only remote chance J.Lo had to even be considered for a Grammy was with On The Floor, now let's not be delusional.
James_Dean Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Vegas is all about showmanship, and JLo is a terrific performer. Article is just more clickbait 5
UnusualBoy Posted May 28 Posted May 28 I doubt the Vegas gig is in jeopardy, those are small threaters so she should have no issue selling out, it's not like she's a bad performer.
Mitsouko Posted May 28 Posted May 28 She's doing a tour and a residency Why she always say yes to everything ddd 4
Totami Legend Posted May 28 Posted May 28 I don't think that's true, she is over her music career and the GP agrees so why bother
ImpressMeMuch Posted May 28 Posted May 28 xtina fans always get too brave as if she's not performing at a glorified bar with a tenth the capacity of your average vegas theater 1 4
suburbannature Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Her three atrl fans are about to be writing essays explaining why this is actually impressive 6

kayliah Posted May 28 Posted May 28 i believe it's just a rumor at this point but lets see. I mean why not go do a tour in Europe or something in arenas. and medium sized venues. It would be great to remind people you're still a marquee name and sell some records.
spiritboy Posted May 28 Posted May 28 This is me…being freed from my contracts and become an indie artist.
ItsJustMe. Posted May 28 Posted May 28 no matter what she puts on a great performance better than a lot of her peers tbh
Xtripped Posted May 29 Posted May 29 She will be ok, her last Vegas residency was a huuuge success. I bet this new one will do wonders too since she's no touring WW.
Sannie Posted May 29 Posted May 29 (edited) The number of big-budget/paycheck projects this woman lands despite there being no proven demand for her is insane. She has one of the best PR teams and management teams in the business lol. And tbh, it really shows how out-of-touch these execs are. All it takes is your management team being able to "sell you" to a bunch of old people who don't know any better. Edited May 29 by Sannie
Vegvisir Posted May 29 Posted May 29 It's starting to look like Miss Jenny is about to get a second taste of that block that she reminisces about so much! 4
Touchdown Posted May 29 Posted May 29 (edited) The flops seem to keep coming for the "All Lives Matter' actress. mess Edited May 29 by Touchdown
MatiRod Posted May 29 Posted May 29 (edited) As a celebrity she's stayed very famous but people are paying to watch a music performance, and she hasn't had a hit in well over a decade, no shade because she's a fantastic performer of course. But at some point you have to adjust expectations. She could be very successful with an 'up close & intimate: for the fans' type theatre tour and she could probably charge a ton for VIP packages and such. I don't know why she doesn't go that route. Same with her movie projects, why not try to find an up and coming auteur type that might be enticed to work with a huge celebrity for an off kilter, acclaimed indie drama? It would do a lot more for her I feel than panned streamer projects like Atlas. Considering how well Hustlers went, she could have a whole second act as an older character actress. The last part is true buuuut she's also a household name and that has value in itself, especially in a day where Hwood is failing to produce bankable younger stars. That's why WB is throwing crazy money and deals at Timothee, 20 years ago that wouldn't have happened, but in today's industry he is a very precious commodity and a rarity.
toxicgenie Posted May 30 Posted May 30 So many bad takes. Maybe JLo had great PR in the past, but she certainly doesnt now, as they have done zilch to squash the flop tour narratives and social media hate train. Also JLo didn't just star in Atlas, she produced it. She's the one signing the checks and starring in her own movies, and giving opportunites to other POC while doing so btw. That's part of the reason the old establishment hates her, because she can do it on her own now. She knows how the business works inside and out.
Erotic Posted May 30 Posted May 30 This woman has built so much bad karma in her life & career, it's all coming back so forcefully 1
