The example the text gives - claiming children are being used as 'human shields' and thus Israel is not at fault for when having to kill them - is quite literally a war crime.

You do not get to kill women and children because you claim that your target has embedded themselves into civilian populations.

That still doesn't explain how America is gonna lose its power. I've seen the US involved in awful wars for as long as I can remember and they always get away with it. Eventually the horror and the crimes are forgotten and there will be a new war and conflict that takes the spotlight.
