I saw this interview and my eyes were rolling when she said that. I get that if a song doesn't lend itself to be certain length, don't force it but making nothing but 1 or 2 minute songs is just lazy and shows you don't value storytelling and world-building at all, which is okay because we need short easy listening bops too, but the one thing her music is lacking is story and intrigue and it's because she never allows her songs and to flourish and expand.

Shes probably anti features too, after Ice Spice completely overshadowed her in her own song.

She has 2 other features on her album. You're yapping just as much as her.

I think you should think about what the song needs and not what you need. If the song is perfect with 2:30 minutes, fine. But a 6 minute song can be perfect as well.

I'm sorry Miss Pantheress but I must object, stream my latest single which has not one but TWO bridges and is over 4 min long!

Come on promo!:clap3:If the song needs a Kraftwerk-like robot voice in one of the choruses, then you need to give it to the song! And the "Part of me belongs to you" is one of the best parts, why would someone think it's not necessary?:chick3:

she says a song should be max 2:30 yet

"Capable of Love"

3:43

"Blue"

actually most of her album is over 2:30, though several of those still under 3 mins

That works for her, and that's okay. Music has so many possibilities, we shouldn't be putting ourselves in a box.

It's funny how her longest song (Capable Of Love) is the best one on the last album while the rest are unlistenable duds. Maybe you need bridges AND outros babygirl
