There was that one time Fergies manager tried getting an account or when Gayle's manager/label person pretended to be her tiktok fan for a fake story of how she wrote abcdefu. Gaga made a GGD account once (and got banned)

 

Some go as far as creating entire fake personas on twitter to hype up their own projects so I don't see why they wouldn't do that here.

 

They definitely lurk here otherwise the mods wouldn't be talking about dmca takedowns and stuff

I think it happens more often on Reddit and PR people submitting posts onto r/fauxmoi, r/popheads.

 

I remember there was a conspiracy theory I read on Reddit about a 4Chan post on the /mu board(which is the music board) where someone asked for feedback on the song "Royals" by Lorde before it was released; and there was a unsolvedmysteries post on Reddit of people trying to find out if it was Lorde or maybe even the producer who posted it to 4chan.

There was also a conspiracy theory that Taylor used 4Chan to name her kittens and that she browsed 4chan(before the politically incorrect board dominated the wesbite in 2015)
