If U Seek Amy Posted May 24 Posted May 24 People treating peers competing in their respective careers like most people do in this world with jobs as if Taylor is ending this girls's career like some evil villain over bumping her down one spot will never not be funny to me 3 1
SlaylorS Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Taylors literally just doing her job = people losing their mind calling her an evil witch and the most deplorable and evil person to ever live
Atlantis Posted May 24 Posted May 24 This is so boring. It's not just Taylor doing it but the way ''chart battles'' are just artists releasing some useless digital versions of their albums that no one will ever play and exist only to manipulate the charts. Them being time limited too This somehow being an artist ''doing their job'' stans are so braindead and yes I know I'm on a pop music forum. 1
Chika Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Taylor being desperate and pathetic, what's new Hope that 5th week at #1 fills the hole in her soul that all of her failed relationships left 3
Bacardo Royale Posted May 24 Posted May 24 The real losers are yall arguing about this while they both make millions
Patient Zero Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Why only the Paris one? Did she finally sound good in this one? 1
Weld_E Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Genuine question for the Swifties: why is Taylor doing this? How does this benefit her in any way? Because this is extremely petty and desperate of her. Is she that threatened by Billie or?

Shes not threatened I guess shes just petty towards somsone she most likely dislikes, Billie would need to sell like x5 to be a threat.

All her stans know the reasons, she wouldn't have done this if the other artist was Kendrick for example. Yes, if the race was close, she 100% would have. She's done this for like 5 previous releases to keep her albums at #1, it's not personal. 1
JT55331 Posted May 24 Posted May 24 can we all agree this is dumb? how many variants have been released this week? it is Shi**y tactics. All this for some chart statistics that no one will ever remember

The same reason why anyone would pull up a fight, closeness to another week at #1, money and profit of the chart battle exposure. Would be the same result with or without Billie's name being attached. It's no different to artists pulling slowed, sped up, instrumental, etc of singles to make it to #1 as well.

She's sending a clear message to the new generation of female artists that they should refrain from challenging her in any capacity.

Girl, let's be real TTPD is not for the arts. 31 tracks, 500+ variants, 500 remixes of Fortnight. How does that even benefit Tay? But whatever floats your boat though. This is my opinion and I'm entitled to it, just like you are entitled to your own. Edited May 24 by Crank_It_Up

Why would 31 songs mean the album is not for the arts. The more songs we get, the better for the consumer lol 1

The more songs we get, the better for the consumer lol I personally feel that the album is extremely bloated and there are so many songs that sound extremely similar that it ends up confusing me when I notice I am already on a different track. There is a thing called fine-tuning. Taylor is extremely popular and as a smart business woman, she followed the path M*rgan W*llen embarked with his double albums smashing on streaming. Taylor has done so much better albums in the past that I wish she feels inspired to be a little more creative/versatile in terms of experimenting with music. But this is where I am going to leave it at that because I will not have a discussion with a stan who cannot see any wrong.

This album is literally what the fans want from her. Slowish with great lyrics. That's what we want.
