SlimyGhoul Posted May 22 Posted May 22 It's my personal opinion that Olivia Rodrigo has yet to bring something groundbreaking or interesting enough for the acclaim she's getting. CC yes, definitely.
SweetenerNostalgia Posted May 22 Posted May 22 (edited) LOVE guts but i think is a cute 85 at most tbh. Edited May 22 by SweetenerNostalgia
SimpleKindofLife Posted May 22 Posted May 22 That ranking lines up with my personal ranking of those albums. I've listened to Guts to nonstop since it came out, it's pop rock excellence. 3

Critics are biased because it's beyonce aren't you tired of popping veins over anything beyoncé related ? them blood pressure tests must be AWFUL OT : yes, they did ! 2
aesthetic bih Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Critics ate with GUTS, I fear. I still enjoy the album almost every day. Its only problem is the lack of a smash, but yeah, I can 100% agree it's Olivia's best album so far As for Cowboy Carter, imo, I'll give it a maximum of 85/100. For the most part, it's definitely an arts not the charts album, so I can't really enjoy it aside from songs like 16 Carriages, Texas Holdem, Jolene and Bodyguard unfortunately... 2

duybeeGAshantiGA Posted May 22 Posted May 22 CC: 85 Guts: 85 HMHAS: 86 ES: 85 TTPD: 76 RO: 69 None should be higher than 90. Back in the 2000s or first half of 2010s, these albums would have all in the range of 61 to 74 max.
Papi Juancho Posted May 22 Posted May 22 (edited) Not bad for the winner of zero Grammys and iHeart Radio Award winner, GUTS. Edited May 22 by Papi Juancho

She sings about Clovis on the album because that's Ryan Beatty's hometown & he's the actual writer. The sad thing is she's at a point where she doesn't even attempt to hide it bc there's always gonna be fans that won't face the truth despite all the evidence being in plain sight. You can like the music & also recognize what's going on. OT: Both Guts & CC aren't 90+ albums, sorry. 80s seem fair 1 1

commander Posted May 22 Posted May 22 I sort of agree. Guts feels so fresh still and it will remain so for years to come. I believe this will also be the case for HMHAS. CC and ES are very 2024 coded imo and I don't think they will age as well.

Gladiator Posted May 23 Posted May 23 (edited) Well, Cowboy Carter is still the best album released this year, so they got this right. Edited May 23 by Gladiator 1
RoseBud Posted May 23 Posted May 23 I would be very surprised if Billie and her brother aren't able to work a deal and get this back into the nineties
