As bad as he thinks music is now he mentioned Billie (and Lana) as great modern artists. Her cross generational appeal needs to be studied. No because I've seen so many boomers genuinely appreciate and enjoy Billie's music. Their interest in Lana makes sense because she borrows a lot from the sonic landscape of the 1950s-1970s but yea, Billie's cross generational appeal is truly an anomaly since she makes music that's relatively contemporary and not accommodating of your go-to boomer's taste in music iygwim. I credit all the rock legends supporting her during WWAFA. She kind of is the last true superstar to debut where her name recognition is just so global and huge. I feel like she's the only one in the streaming to truly crossover in this way. Say whatever about Interflop but she and her team have really crafted such a one-of-a-kind career. 11
