I love how y'all expose yourselves are basement dwellers of the internet, aka, the reddit users. Did they alter her quote or? Your second point is hilariously delicious to read on the classy forum that is …*checks notes and does the hokey pokey* ATRL

Rv1709 Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Well, she clearly understood how the charts work now with remixes, discounts, bloated albums, vinyl. She only said this because lover was underperforming back then and she truly thought it was over. But she does not care about conventional album promo cycles now- that's the only thing
Jeremiah Posted May 21 Posted May 21 The funnier part is that she was probably sincere there because she tried EVERY trick with ME! yet was blocked from #1. She genuinely felt defeated and disenchanted with charts. 1
UnusualBoy Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Love her but no one believes that, she may not be as chart obsessed as she was but she's showed several times in the past 2-3 years she's still chasing success even if it feels she does have to (She's the biggest artist in the world) At the end there's nothing wrong with that because you want your "product" to be successful, sell, etc so not sure why people get mad at this.
burninredhot Posted May 21 Posted May 21 This is from the era where she assumed she's going out and getting Katy/Gaga-fied. Nobody knew what was coming next
Punky Rooster Posted May 21 Posted May 21 It's fine to care about the charts but just admit it. No one who is in it "for the art" releases 20 versions of an album.
