Here is a proof that she doesn't care about it anymore. Interview from Rolling Stone magazine 2019.

Arts not the charts!

I do think there's some truth in there tbh. Lover flopped for her standards and she couldn't even get a number 1 song. With those kinds of failures I'm sure she had to sort of accept that her career was beginning to decline and there was no

point chasing the 1989 numbers anymore.

that is until the folklore/evermore/RED TV/MIDnights run changed everything.

Please stop the gaslighting :deadbanana2:

this is the same woman that releases exclusive digital editions a few hours before tracking week ends, has released 8-9 remixes for the same song to extend its chart run, discounted her song to 39 cents (the lowest you can sell it for so it counts towards the charts) etc etc. She has literally tried every tactic in the book to get those sales in and chart higher/longer :bibliahh:

It's her marketing team. Not her.

This.

Everything changed after folklore and with Midnights, The Eras Tour & TTDP her new goal is obviously being one of the most successful artists ever.

And not you posting SwiftlyNeutral, the worse sub on Reddit after R/Conspiracy.

So her marketing team is also the one churning out those remixes, editons, those versions etc etc? Make it make sense! She's obviously involved in all of it and has those versions ready to go :sistrens:

Also, saying that it's her marketing team's doing but i was told that she has full control over her career so what is the truth? Is her approval being sought when all those last minute versions are released?

Why is it okay for randoms to care about how a stranger's music charts but not the actual woman herself? Why do people care if she cares about where her music charts?

Because she and her team are manipulating results with absurdly excessive tactics even by pop star standards.

It's all about how much autonomy she has until there's something to be critiqued. Then it's actually her marketing team/Jack/Ticketmaster/etc's fault and she had nothing to do with it :toofunny2:

Well at least it's charted tho.

i say this as a fan, no one believes this ****

She has always been very competitive and chart driven and there is nothing wrong with that

A repeak this size which became an historic peak has to be well planned and meditated and while it was probably unexpected to be this big, she's excellent at strategically releasing her stuff

Willow Reggaeton Remix would've been her only good song for that album tbh

It's so funny how her fans just can't admit she cares about this stuff. Like it wouldn't be the end of the world to admit it considering how competitive the music industry is but they're simple unable to view her as anything other than this morally pure and righteous person :dies:

Actions speak louder than words

Probably for that specific moment?
Since I get her confusion on how charts worked back then, it was the start of streaming taking over and actually making a change on the charts

but now.. she deffo has plans and strategies to push her projects.

too much stuff has happened since 2019 lol
