My Lesbian Queen Annie Clark brutally robbed of AOTY.

This is injustice and homophobia.

Record is about production and Song is about the lyrics

Not quite, Record is about the finished record as you hear it when you press play, so it goes to the producer, artist, and mixer, whereas song of the year is about the song in its elemental form aka melody and lyrics and chords, so it goes to the songwriters only.

"Apple" and "Bodyguard" (love Bey DOWN, but let's be real) getting in over WCBF, which imo was her best shot at taking home a trophy this year, is a pretty egregious snub. She'll collect next year with Wicked but still.

Love Ari a lot but Apple & Bodyguard are so much better.

Charli submitted the Guess Remix instead

I'm so excited for the new artist named Sabrina Carpenter! Her debut album is amazing.

Lorde can submit and may the most voted win.

Anyway, I doubt Lorde cares. It's just S&ROTY.

Finneas robbed. :shakeno:

He needs to network more. Such a shame for his talent.

They did Dua wrong by not nominating Houdini for best dance pop recording.

Reminder those are among 16 categories that Grammys still has a committee to pick the nomination they like:

Category 5: Producer of the Year, Non-Classical

Category 6: Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical

Category 73: Best Music Video

Category 74: Best Music Film

So don't be surprised some obvious contenders didn't make it in those categories.

I don't think Lorde would want to compete with Charli.. with a Charli song :toofunny2:

But yeah in a perfect world girl, so confusing would sweep every award but I understand the decision to nominate other songs over it

I believe she submitted another song there but it was moved to Pop Solo, therefore not having a Dance Pop Recording submission (and she probably didn't send both originally to avoid vote splitting)

Why is Taylor's non-singing ass nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album again?

What vocals were served? :suburban:

I'd like them to explain how birds of a feather got both soty and roty but dwas only got one although it's arguably the biggest song of the year (apart from that tipsy song).

also I love bey to pieces but how is the nominated for both categories but dwas isn't?

talk about fraud and grammys will come to your mind.

I'm just happy Charli is finally getting her flowers and I'm so happy her first grammy will be off her solo work and it wasn't fancy.
