Superbitch Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I can't at beyonce getting nominated in every genre songs I have never heard of. Truly their fave(and swift). Good for ha.
AxelFox Posted November 8 Posted November 8 They did Kacey and Ariana so wrong 0 general field noms Literally none of the songs nominated for Song of the Year are better written than The Architect 1 1

( I know BL was much bigger) but still I blame Beyonce's payola for REAL.. Also, why did Beyonce's team sent boring 16 Carriages to Country instead of the excellent Texas Hold Em.. wtf 2

Hitchhiker Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Taylor is getting the MV, Sabrina and Billie are taking everything else love that for everyone Now Ariana deserved more but still her magnum opus anyways so we move on
Disconnect Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) Well I do firmly believe Dua would've been nominated for Best Pop Dance Recording had she submitted Houdini there, why didn't she? Edited November 8 by Disconnect 1
JennyWayne Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Just realized Eras Tour didn't even get nominated for Best Music Film. Damn 1
Hector Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) 2 minutes ago, Uncatena said: wouldn't Addison count since she is only on the remix; thus part of the remixers? It's only awarded to the producers. This is how the credit looks on the Grammy website: "Von Dutch," A.G. Cook, remixer (Charli xcx & A.G. Cook Featuring Addison Rae) Meaning that if the remix won, A.G. Cook would be the only winner, but not Charli or Addison. I've never liked that rule but it is what it is. Edited November 8 by Hector

Houdini was snubbed though 1
punisher Posted November 8 Posted November 8 2 minutes ago, Superbitch said: They truly don't **** with Meg huh? a lot of things shifted after the trial tbh, especially since a lot of the rap voters are rappers and people in that field including 1501's Carl Crawford 1
Summer Boy Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I'm so mad they snubbed Die With a Smile for ROTY. It's the most deserving song and yet it's not even nominated. Oh well, they better give it SOTY. 1

Adama Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Dua performing Houdini/Training season at the Grammys last year, getting praise for her performance only to end up with zero noms ! A mess 1
ctlp27 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 They really don't want Gaga to ever approach the big 4 right?

Whether you've heard the song or not is irrelevant. Some of you forget Grammys are about the quality of the MUSIC itself, not how successful/popular it was (maybe with the exception of categories like SOTY/ROTY). 5
toast Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I understand why they snubbed Nicki, but nominating Latto, Doechii (deserved!), Glorilla (deserved!), and Cardi, but not Meg is weird 2

Parachutes Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) 4 hours ago, piotrert said: i've seen comment like this couple of times. genuinely, how do you know this? there are over 10 000 voting members. any guesses are just guesses. you can't analyze results based on nominations lol That's fair, but you can definitely make guesses about where the support lies based on nominations . Since voters select nominations, it's one of the best indicators we have for who has momentum. Predictions won't always be 100% right, but there's a reason why there are whole forums dedicated to them and why awards punditry exists. We can also use previous wins and patterns to inform our guesses. I at least think the winner won't be Taylor. They clearly love her (hence the noms), but she doesn't have a narrative that would propel her to a win. They already awarded her for her global domination and success of the Eras tour last year; her narrative would pretty much be the same this time around but for an album that's much more divisive (her worst received since 2017 at least) and that didn't generate as many long-lasting hits. I could be wrong I just enjoy speculating and hearing others' thoughts too. Beyoncé scored noms in Country, Pop, R&B, and Rap showing that she has cross-genre support. I'd argue that she overperformed. She has the narrative of reclaiming country music with one of the most acclaimed albums of the year, and hasn't won AOTY despite having the most lauded discography among mainstream pop artists. Billie also has a universally acclaimed album that's been a huge success, supported by one of the biggest hits of her career. She has an even better track record than Taylor in the General Field and HMHAS is super baity. I think she checks most (if not all) of the boxes. I could also see someone like Charli or Chappel having a groundswell of support and being dark horses. But as it stands, I just don't see why Taylor would take it for the second time in a row (and fifth overall) having had such a mixed reception. Edited November 8 by Parachutes 3 1
JennyWayne Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I Get A Kick Out Of You getting into ROTY in 2022 but DWAS missing it this year Thank you Tony I guess
