Miles. Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Pretty solid set of noms! Very excited for Taylor, Sabrina, Chappell, Kendrick, Benson, Kelsea, and Noah. Beautiful Things and Too Sweet deserved at least one nom each, but honestly Lose Control also getting snubbed makes up for that 1

The public is now aware of the bizarre Beyonce praise even when people don't like the music. At some point, you have to realize that good music is what people listen to and cowboy Carter does not reflect that. Grammys are voted on by the industry, not the public. 8 minutes ago, James_Joint said: Wouldn't a quality album get listened to? I presume the album was listened to by folks in the industry, but there are a lot of great albums that aren't necessarily commercial smashes. 1

Sure, and they'll get over it just as quickly as the other times they get worked up over a celebrity. The public's attention span is the same as a goldfish's recently. She'll win this time, it'll be deserved, and people will get over it quickly even if they wanna be mad. Edited November 9 by Black Sunflower
istan4badgalriri Posted November 9 Posted November 9 tbh it's crazy there's a narrative that she gets snubbed by the Grammys when every year almost all of her submissions get in, and she never goes home empty handed 3
Lovett Posted November 9 Posted November 9 I'm surprised at the volume of nominations, but I'm thrilled for her. The album is so strong and deserves recognition. 1

Ariana and Dua deserved. But Grammys love to pander to SJWs so Beyonce nominations were a must from them. This is why trump keeps winning. every thing is a fraud now there is no honesty This is probably one of the least intelligent things I've ever read on this website and I've been a member since 2016.

Badgalbriel Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Why would anyone be surprised? She's Beyoncé. Even though CC is a flop, the album was still acclaimed and was relevant during its release week. Not everyone who released this year had the same luck. 1
shark_heather Posted November 9 Posted November 9 I think this year the win will be split My predictions : AOTY : Billie ROTY : Billie - Birds New Artist : Chappell PopVocalAlbum : Taylor Pop Solo Perf : Sabrina - Espresso Rap Perfor: Beyonce Spaghetti Pop Duo : Gaga Bruno Dance Elec Album : Charli SOTY : Chappell vs Taylor Country Duo : Beyonce Miley Best Americana Perf : Beyonce And Ariana will get for Yes and
Bumba Posted November 9 Posted November 9 This is weird. Her album did not continue getting streams and it was a bad album. Texas getting a nom should have been the only thing. All of my friends don't know or didn't enjoy the album. 1

Interesting, isn't it? 5 1 1
Suilen Posted November 9 Posted November 9 The Dance Pop category is stacked. I'm rooting for my girl Madison because who knows if she'll get another opportunity like that. 1
QueenBeyoncé Posted November 9 Posted November 9 16 hours ago, iHype. said: The genre spamming she does with submissions definitely requires a bigger discussion on if that even should be allowed. This was clearly marketed as a Country album, and the only genre it really should've gotten noms in was Country. All of the songs even when mixing/incorporating other genres and sounds still tie to the overall prominent theme of being a Country project. Trying to individually analyze them and then separate them into 15 completely different genres because one has a piano production, one has rapping in a verse, one has an Americana artist featured, etc is silly. Also besides that, it's borderline greedy and ridiculous she takes nominations and wins from artists who actually put out core music in other genres because she decided to just submit a random deep cut in a lesser genre knowing it'd be carried off her name. Ho, cry a river 1 1

Human Fly Posted November 9 Posted November 9 It feels forced just like how they forced renaissance for best dance electronic album category Its not even dance album let alone electronic. It was basically just another beyonce album with rhythmic r&b tunes. cowboy carter being in pop, rap, country categories feels so funny knowing that she didnt wrote on that album no matter how they try to spin it. 4 5
Monky_2405 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Not here to say CC is not a quality album (I'm listening to it right now) but "Bodyguard" (a song I really like) being nominated in the Pop categories while "We can't be friends" is at 0 really isn't fair. When it comes to Beyoncé it's like the Academy doesn't care about the rest...I mean, Billie or Charlix deserve the album of the year more than Cowboy Carter, in my opinion. 3
Ger.vaz Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Congratulations to her and her 50 Writers. they all deserve this achievement. 1 5
