Voting body is made up of thousands, not 5 people - there's no conspiracy against a given artist

Someone behind the scenes at the Grammys hates Ari bad omg. I mean I wasn't expecting an AOTY nomination, but not even a Pop Solo for We Can't Be Friends is kinda :deadbanana2:

Happy for all the nominees, but I've kinda soured from the Grammys at this stage, I just feel like my tastes are not aligned with their choices at all. Excited for Charli though, I think she's really in with a good chance of at least racking up one grammy (finally).

There's no committee in pop field, it's straight up votes.

Charli getting recognition is wild. But this is definitely her year. Love that.

Someone else may have asked this already, but why are the Grammys calling Chappell's album "Chappell Roan The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess?" :rip: As far as I can tell no other platform/streaming service includes her name on the album title itself?

as much how many our pop girls released on this saturated overpopular year, there're too many to pick winner on daily change and everything moves on rapid pace to care about individual dominate ones.

my betting money prediction is chappell to be snubbed on all noms, taylor to win one on pop vocal album but dud elsewhere as well as sabrina only on her BNA, bey... same old same old non-big 4 wins, billie win some lose some with big 4 win or two, dance pop on charli and that's all, kendrick swept on rap, the beatles win every nom, and kehlani gets her flowers on r&b

Why do I feel she will go empty handed?

It's what she deserves, the album made ZERO noise outside gay bars and social media. This is really the UK Motomami. :deadbanana2:

It was literally use din a politcal campaign, talked about on CNN and Fox news and every company was using the brat green etc for marketing.

Apple with +2M videos on TikTok and only 200M streams
Not a single song in Spotify's top 50 in months
Only 140k certified sales
Fake "sold outs" of her tour WITH TROYE SIVAN.

Her team really invested in marketing trying to alterate the reality and make us think the album/era is bigger than it really is.

The Grammys are usually pretty top 40 poppy but this year seems like an abnormally high amount of pop lol

It was a pretty big year for the pop girls

Whew they really have no lives, have to be so miserable in every Charli thread :fan:

OT: hope she wins AOTY, ROTY, and some of the other ones

As she deserves!!! BRAT easily was the most iconic pop culture moment of the year. I hope she'll win at least one!

Dance/Electronic is definitely for her. Oh, Charti, the brat legend that you are. :DWAS:

We can't be friends deserved a nom (interesting that they went with yes, and? for Best Dance Pop Recording), and Dua's Houdini too.

Beyonce will lose yet another Grammy to the Beatles

Posted

I actually think if she wins, it will backfire.  The public is now aware of the bizarre Beyonce praise even when people don't like the music.

At some point, you have to realize that good music is what people listen to and cowboy Carter does not reflect that.
