Wonderland Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Overall I'm happy tbh. A bit sad that Kacey didn't make it into AOTY with her efforts this year but I see she has been rewarded well in the genre noms. I find it a bit odd that DWAS and A Bar Song only got Song. They both seem more like Record noms to me if you had to pick one.
Maxxie Posted November 8 Posted November 8 If anyone pays attention to the Grammys anymore…they need their head checked. The music industry has been shown to be corrupt for years and Bey & Jay lead the pack. Cowboy Carter and TTPD made 0 noise outside deranged fans! 7 2 2

Polgg48 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 album and escapism sacrificed for irrelevent noms but she's called grammy nominated artist now.
Jackson Posted November 8 Posted November 8 She deserved multiple noms for Escapism and My 21st Century Blues but better late than never I guess 2 1
B-Luke Posted November 8 Posted November 8 No. She delivered yet another excellent album that deserves to be rewarded accordingly. 3
Fleahive Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) Your faves make 1 genre of music are thus limited to only the 3-4 main categories and pop/dance category which is extremely competitive. Beyoncé always has multiple genres of music and submits her well received album tracks into said categories which expands her nominations. Until your faves can successfully make r&b, country, pop, Americana, and rap all in the same album then don't expect them to have more than 6 nominations. Nominations ultimately don't matter unless you're winning them. She will lose all the main categories, pop, and likely country too. She will take home 1-2 wins. A Grammy darling is someone who consistently wins main categories Billie, Bruno, Taylor. At best Beyonce is an r&b Grammy darling she tends to sweep that category but this year she didn't receive a nomination. Lastly, stop moving the goal post. Being the most popular does not equate to who should win. You all said Beck deserved it and that Beyoncés self titled shouldn't win just for how much it sold. Then you said Adele deserved because he had the most successful album. Then you said Renaissance shouldn't win because of the amount of contributors. If H.E.R. can win song of the year for a song that had less than 1 million views for its music video at the time of its win, if Beck, and Jon Batiste can win after making no mainstream noise, anyone can be nominated and win. KOMH Posted November 8 Posted November 8 The sour grapes from Ariana stans. You guys should be happy she made it into BPA 1 1 1 1
Fleahive Posted November 8 Posted November 8 2 hours ago, iHype. said: The genre spamming she does with submissions definitely requires a bigger discussion on if that even should be allowed. This was clearly marketed as a Country album, and the only genre it really should've gotten noms in was Country. All of the songs even when mixing/incorporating other genres and sounds still tie to the overall prominent theme of being a Country project. Trying to individually analyze them and then separate them into 15 completely different genres because one has a piano production, one has rapping in a verse, one has an Americana artist featured, etc is silly. Also besides that, it's borderline greedy and ridiculous she takes nominations and wins from artists who actually put out core music in other genres because she decided to just submit a random deep cut in a lesser genre knowing it'd be carried off her name. So you're telling me Spaghetti is a country song? How is it greedy if she's not the only person winning the Grammy? Do you know contributers also get Grammys? Do they not deserve an award for contributing to the highly acclaimed album? Sounds like you want to box people into one genre even if every song doesn't fit. Maybe you should actually listen to CC and see why that's an issue instead of raging over the fact that she got more nominations than your fave.

Maxxie Posted November 8 Posted November 8 4 minutes ago, Where are you now? said: Honey hate to break it to you but google "highest selling album of 2024" Yeah because it's what…32 songs with 17 variants released again and again? The album is not going to be remembered. None of the songs are hits. The GP wouldn't know a single song off that album. Same with CC 4
Mezik Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Personally I wish RIIVERDANCE got submitted for a nomination instead, but I will forgive her team for not submitting it - the Grammys couldn't handle it's superiority. 3
smartalek22 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 She deserved a Grammy for this 8 year old song by theee Best New Artist 1
Parachutes Posted November 8 Posted November 8 1 hour ago, itshyolee said: Why is Taylor's non-singing ass nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album again? What vocals were served? The category just means that it's a pop album with vocals on it, originally named to differentiate from a pop instrumental album category. Not necessarily about the vocals themselves. 1
Ivan_brit Posted November 8 Posted November 8 They are 1 year late This noms feel irrelevant this year, she deserved noms last year 1
Antisocialites Posted November 8 Posted November 8 kinda weird she was nominated this year for BNA but still happy for her.

redsbae Posted November 8 Posted November 8 The meltdowns in this thread are amazing. A black woman dominating 27 years into her career both critically and commercially just makes yall seethe! "She bought it", "her husband bought it", "payola" are only accusations when Beyonce is involved. If your fav led the pack, it be because of "talent" Beyonce is the star of our generation. Other girls have great BEAUTIFUL gowns but Beyonce is the moment. She's touched all genres, can tour stadiums, and is PRAISED BY LEGENDS. barba Streisand, Whitney Houston, Prince, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, they all have given the crown to BEYONCE. 3 4
