Undeserved. sh!tboy farter is probably the worst album released this decade. even her fans have stopped streaming it even though it's just few months old. Ariana and Dua deserved. But Grammys love to pander to SJWs so Beyonce nominations were a must from them. This is why trump keeps winning. every thing is a fraud now there is no honesty

I honestly expected her to be snubbed because of the country voters. I guess she'll take home 1 or 2 and lose AOTY as usual again. Our old friends haven't changed the way they play the game.

Whether you've heard the song or not is irrelevant. Some of you forget Grammys are about the quality of the MUSIC itself, not how successful/popular it was (maybe with the exception of categories like SOTY/ROTY).

That's fair, but you can definitely make guesses about where the support lies based on nominations . Since voters select nominations, it's one of the best indicators we have for who has momentum. Predictions won't always be 100% right, but there's a reason why there are whole forums dedicated to them and why awards punditry exists.  We can also use previous wins and patterns to inform our guesses. 
 

I at least think the winner won't be Taylor. They clearly love her (hence the noms), but she doesn't have a narrative that would propel her to a win. They already awarded her for her global domination and success of the Eras tour last year; her narrative would pretty much be the same this time around but for an album that's much more divisive (her worst received since 2017 at least) and that didn't generate as many long-lasting hits. I could be wrong I just enjoy speculating and hearing others' thoughts too. 

 

Beyoncé scored noms in Country, Pop, R&B, and Rap showing that she has cross-genre support. I'd argue that she overperformed. She has the narrative of reclaiming country music with one of the most acclaimed albums of the year, and hasn't won AOTY despite having the most lauded discography among mainstream pop artists. Billie also has a universally acclaimed album that's been a huge success, supported by one of the biggest hits of her career. She has an even better track record than Taylor in the General Field and HMHAS is super baity. I think she checks most (if not all) of the boxes. I could also see someone like Charli or Chappel having a groundswell of support and being dark horses. But as it stands, I just don't see why Taylor would take it for the second time in a row (and fifth overall) having had such a mixed reception.

I am not surprised at all based on its quality (maybe a little based on the Grammys itself)

 

She made one of the most beautiful albums of the year, and certainly one of the most interesting. Following her several other acclaimed works, it is richly layered and dense with meaning. It is personal yet collaborative, making it something bigger and more important than the sum of its parts. It's as bombastic as it is tender. It's truly a landmark album in so many ways, and deserves all its praise.

S&S and Brat were two of some of the biggest eras of 2024. ES came and went but both these eras marked their footholds in 2024 pop culture. This should come off as literally no surprise lol

I mean, the best thing about that song is the melody and vocal performances, not really the production so, it makes sense it wasn't nominated for ROTY.

Like every year, some things are just too undisguised and blatant. Songs like WCBF get snubbed while nepo baby Gracie Abrams sticks out like a sore thumb, and only in Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for a song that features her mentor Taylor Swift

Yeah sorry. I meant that she barely has a shot winning it the song is not making it as well to ROTY no? Not that they go together but it's not a good sign to even get nominated there.
