concubine Posted May 20 Posted May 20 (edited) This week, there has been a viral Twitter exchange where the 'femboy' community was encouraged to post their sensual and revealing selfies online, but then were accused of being 'ugly' by (largely) women in response. Quote This led to a bigger, 'oppression olympics' discussion online where women are being accused of homophobia, while others are saying that this is a non-issue because gay men are still men and will always have more privilege than women. So, I wanted to ask ATRL for opinions on this topic. Edited May 20 by concubine
Saintlor Posted May 20 Posted May 20 (edited) As a woman, I find it crazy how many women and feminists online try and claim their life is harder than gay men because they still have male privilege Women are still super homophobic. It's just these days people call someone so fruity instead of so gay and people think because they're not directly saying gay as a slur then it's not homophobic Edited May 20 by Saintlor 1

glitch Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Pitting oppressed groups together and arguing about who has it harder serves no one but the people oppressing us. Much better for us to fight amongst ourselves than to direct our energy towards the people actually making our lives more difficult.
Stepfon Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Women and I am filing this in my UNSERIOUS ATRL THREADS file because
