discussion Which group is more oppressed, feminine/gay men or women?

This week, there has been a viral Twitter exchange where the 'femboy' community was encouraged to post their sensual and revealing selfies online, but then were accused of being 'ugly' by (largely) women in response.

As a woman, I find it crazy how many women and feminists online try and claim their life is harder than gay men because they still have male privilege

 

Women are still super homophobic. It's just these days people call someone so fruity instead of so gay and people think because they're not directly saying gay as a slur then it's not homophobic

Pitting oppressed groups together and arguing about who has it harder serves no one but the people oppressing us. Much better for us to fight amongst ourselves than to direct our energy towards the people actually making our lives more difficult.
